Re: medicare and one pair of glasses after cataract surgery

@SeaMaiden

How are you doing?  Are your glasses good?  I still have dry eye and halos and starbursts?  Other than that vision is good.

How is your husband doing?

I hope you are both well!!  Has Spring arrived yet?

Did you know you can have lens implants when you have the surgery so you don't need to wear glasses at all? The draw back is you have to pay for it yourself and it's pricey. The eye doctor mentioned that to my husband who is having cataract surgery next month.

This is not available for everyone - my DH eye issues could not be corrected with an implanted lens.

@151949  That is right. I was interested in the newer implant for my ataract surgery  as well. My surgeon said I was not a candidate due to issues I have with my eyes ( glaucoma, retinopathy, ).
