Catter,

While I don't know you, I am so very happy for your good news.  This thread caught my eye because over 20 years ago a mass was found on my lung during a routine chest xray.  I went through all the protocol (CATs, PETs, etc.)  It never moved, never grew, never shrunk...it just was.  After 2 years of all the testing, I asked the pulmonologist what is was and he said he didn't know.  He said it was NOT malignant and would never become malignant and there is a small number of people who have unknown masses in their lungs.  It's never given me any trouble and if I didn't know it was there, I'd never know it was there.

About 10 years ago, my primary care doctor suggested we get a CAT and lo and behold, it was still the same size and in the same place.  I hope you continue to receive good news.

Re: lung scan update

[ Edited ]

Thanks for letting us know, @catter70 .

We share your good news with you. Heart

I have an adrenal mass that's sitting on top of my right kidney. I had to have it biopsied a few years ago. It's not cancerous, but it's just "there."

It can be worrisome to have something like this--what you have in your lung--sitting anywhere in our bodies until we know the outcome of test results.

I pray that everything continues to go well with you and your health. Heart
