@Luvsmyfam Medicaid is for people with lower incomes.  However, you may have to sign up for Medicare first.  Google Medicare for a phone number.  I know it is a pain but Medcaid will give you lots of benefits to help you out with medical.

@Luvsmyfam You were told correctly. And I wish you all the very best as a cancer survivor myself. It's not uncommon to get medicaide and medicare both.  Wish you well!

It is possible to have bothered Medicaid and Medicare coverage in certain situations. Individuals who qualify for Medicare and Medicaid are known as "dual eligible" and are likely to have most of their healthcare needs covered in some form.

Depending on your finances, you could qualify to become what is called "dual eligible", someone who can enroll in both Medicare and Medicaid.

I hope this helps to answer your questions.

@Luvsmyfam   Medicare is for people 62 and older.  People that take early retirement.  You can also get Medicare if you are on disability and 62 (I was on disability and received Medicare at 62.  Good luck to you and take care.
