how long does the synvisc shot give relief

a few months ago I had the synvisc one shot.. thought Thank God something is helping my bone on bone pain well today I went to get my hair cut and colored when I went to get up from the chair could barely walk I am in so much pain.. I am icing now.. just wondered how often can you get the synvisc one shots. thank you
