Anyone own and use a hand massager? I have arthritis and carpal tunnel ( for years) and it is a curse and painful at times. I just have noticed via HQ and HSN this machine. They were pricier than one I have purchased at Amazon (I will get it tommorrow). 

I am hoping this helps as doctors haven't. Any port in the storm...I know there are no miracles , but a little relief woud be nice.

Have you been to a reputable Rheumatologist instead of a PCP? If not, make an appointment!

@okaywitheasypay   I have a Theragun....so effective!  Expensive, but if you.are dealing with pain or recovery worth every penny.  Mine is the large and might not fit your situation.   I mention because they do have a mini model that you might enjoy! Best wishes for good health!

@BirkiLady My last diagnosis was with a hand specialist that told me it was osteo arthritis I have been told 2xs that I have carpal tunnel. The hand specialist mainly  said I could have steroid shots but didn't offer much help and frankly I did not care for any more help from him and ceased communicating. 

@phoenixbrd TY Both hands give me trouble though , so anything that I would have to hold with the opposite  hand would probably not work .

A Rheumatologist is a specialist (physician with additional training and often a PHD) who treats osteoporisis, arthritis, rheumatism, lupus, and a host of other cronic diseases in a variety of ways. All are covered by Medicare and your supplemental insurance. Save your money on gadgets! Get the help you need from a professional and find our the cause to manage and/or elimanate the pain.

I recieved it.I have used it and find it comforting and helpful . I wish to avoid pharmceuticals which seem to be the thrust of so many of medical providers.

@okaywitheasypay   You are so right. Doctors just want to prescribe medications. I can't take pain meds because many cause kidney problems and I already have kidney disease.

  In the 90's, one by one my fingers developed painful osteo arthritis. I did use something that you heat in the microwave, until it was warm and it gave a little relief. I could not use creams with capsaicin.

  In recent years, after the arthritis calms down after the cartilage

is done deforming the knuckles, the pain has diminished. Cold weather and humidity can affect the joints and cause pain. For years, I have worn gloves from October to April, when going

outside.

  Now, both knees and shoulders have painful osteo arthritis.

Two doctors have said that I need knee and shoulder replacements and I'm not willing to do that. I have many problems with medications and anesthesia.

 So, I get cortisone shots and that helps. I hope that you find relief. There is not much that doctors can do for osteo arthritis pain, beyond medication .

@Nightowlz  I am throwing anything/everything against the wall so to speak for something to help my husband with his hip pain/arithritis.  

Two more weeks before his next injection, which will be his second shot.  The first one did not do a whole lot of good, so gonna try one more time. Currently he is on a 5 or 6 day regiment of a steriod...not relief yet.

If need be we will get a 2nd opinion because the ortho doctor said he is not a hip replacement candidate right now.... but in the meantime I have read about NEAR infrared light therapy.

Would you mind sharing what brand you used?  His pain is back of leg near the top of the leg...he might need a hand held unit.
