getting off of Pristiq

Has anyone here ever tried to get off of the drug Pristiq? I was 100 mg and stopped taking it 2 1/2 weeks ago. I have never been so sick. Dizzy, weak, sleepy or wide awake, disoriented etc. The Dr wanted me to switch to Cymbalta and start taking that as I got off the Pristiq. I don't want to take Cymbalta right now. I want to see how I do without any medications. And I have read that if I start Cymbalta that is just as hard to get off of. Why don't the Dr's tell you how addicting these drugs are and how hard they are to get off of. How much longer do I have to feel this way? Any help or encouragment from someone who went through this? TIA
