Need to get some feedback. I have a long time friend (who to make a long story short) had burned all her bridges with family and friends. The last few years she had been job hopping...nothing lasted more than a few months. Her parents were paying her expenses and bills. She was a pathological liar..but she was bipolar--either very up or down. When she was up, she was so charismatic no one could resist her. Recently she had run out of money, left a good job, and her parents refused to help any more. She had no friends left..looking back it seems like she only called when times were bad. We got so used to her extreme mood swings and we all were so busy with our own lives. She would hide from the world in her apartment ..well, three days ago she overdosed and died. It seems like we all had heard various threats to do this but none of us believed her due to her history. Her parents are in their 70's and did not comprehend that this last time she was serious. I recently had not returned messages to her because it all seemed like the same old thing. I WISH I COULD GO BACK NOW AND HAVE LISTENED. To anyone else who is so busy with their lives...please take time to listen to loved ones who are calling out for help. Forget their bad qualities and be their for them. We could or would not believe her pain.
