I have one and do like it very much. I havent used it much because I have to lug it out and put it back in a tight place so I avoid it. But I am going to start using it. I also have one on my pilates machine but I like the other one because I can use it in front of my tv. Mine is the Jumpsport. You need balance though and need to be careful unless you have a bar to hold on to. I dont have a bar so I am just careful on it. But I do enjoy the jumping effect.

Can you tell me what model you have? Thanks!

I dont remember the model I bought specifically, I bought it a couple of years ago, but I know I got one in the lower end of the 300 series, it must of been around 300 bucks. I think they were running a sale at the time so I got it for a little bit less. If you do look into them, make sure you google for coupons. You never know.

I agree about the bungees. They really make for a nice easy jump. The one thing I would get next time, if there is a next time, is a bigger jumping space. The jumpsport, or at least the model I have, the space is good but would of been nice to be bigger. Of course, I wouldnt of had room for a bigger one. The bellicons are nice.

Karsa: Wow...your story intrigues me. You're a fitness buff, previous personal trainer...I like you! Sounds like your mental strength from your fitness life came in handy to battle the Big C & lymphedema. I bet you have many success stories to tell!

Thanks sidsmom. I have to admit, that when I was first diagnosed, I was pretty despondent as I felt I did everything right - I was very fit, primarily vegetarian and a personal trainer and it still happened....Of course, we all know that cancer isn't very choosy...It just chooses indiscriminately most of the time. I wasn't one of those who was able to do anything during chemo. It knocked me flat, plus numerous surgeries and radiation....But...that said, when I finally picked myself back up, dusted myself off...the years of healthy eating and working out came back to help bring me back.

I actually became certified, started working at my gym and then quit a job of 10 years working with child protection to take on personal training and also was one of the assistant managers for the gym. I did this only for a year, but then missed investigations and missed a consistent paycheck and health insurance I could rely on. I then trained part time for about 2 more years, but my full time job just really took over. I do have so many wonderful stories of clients that I worked with. I can honestly say there is nothing I ever did that I loved more than that one year of exclusive personal training. It was a joy.

That's why I finally traded in my jumpsport for a bellicon - I just wanted that room. It's a pretty significant difference as I got the biggest bellicon - the 49 inch but oh, the fun things you can do with all that space LOL

Yea, I can see that it would make a huge diff. It would be a lot of fun to have more room. I still love it though. If I start using it more and eventually have more space for a bigger unit, I might look into them. Although, they are a bit pricey The good thing about the one I have is it provides flaps that go over the area between the bungee and rim so it alerts you when you go to far over. Those flaps have come in handy a couple of times when I wasnt paying attention.

Good to know the rebounder does really work for the lymphs. I am getting inspired to pull it out this week and see if I can get in a routine in using it. Thanks, ladies.

Karsa I am so impressed with your story....I am going to get a jumpsport for sure. I am a gym rat too but I sometimes sit too much an don't want to do that. Your story inspires me!

Re: does anyone use a rebounder?

Yes, I have the Urban Rebounder and it has held up for years. I have herniated discs so my ability to exercise is limited mostly to walking and I can rebound. I love the rebounder. It is very low impact. Get an actual rebounder though and not a cheap mini trampoline.

Re: does anyone use a rebounder?

I recently purchased the Urban Rebounder and have noticed that my back hurts after using it. Is this normal at first, or am I doing something wrong . I watched the Video and think my "form" is right, but am unsure. Thanks for any help. SWII
