I read today that us older people should be taking this, and we should give it to our dogs.

Well I don't have a dog, but I've been taking 200 mg per day for quite awhile.  I buy the Andrew Lessman from HSN when there is a special.

It is recommended that older adults take the reduced form of coq10, ubiquinol, because it is difficult for older people to convert coq10 to make it effective. CoQ10 is not the same as ubiquinol. Ubiquinol is the reduced, more bioavailable form of the enzyme. People on statins should consider taking it because statins deplete the enzyme.

Ubiquinol is quite a bit more expensive of the 2. I started taking 50 mg because I take a beta blocker. .

Kaneka Ubiquinol is supposed to be the best.  DH and I take 200 mg. daily, 100 in the AM and 100 in the PM, after a meal as it is fat soluble.  Also make sure you take it with a big glass of water to get it all the way down.

Andrew Lessman (I've been taking his vitamins for 30 years) has always stated that he ONLY purchases his CoQ10 and TruQ10 (ubiquinol) from Kaneka.

His things are just way to expensive.
