anyone ever dealt with the after effects of SUICIDE?

I lost a former student to suicide on Thursday. She was an exceptional person: very bright, well liked, athletic, kind, and the list goes on and on. I am going to attend the calling hours, but I'm wondering what to say to her parents and siblings. I am devastated that her bright star burned out before her time...
