I wanted to make sure you saw Halfpint's response to you.

Yes, now that the doctor knows my mom does not have any issues with her anxiety medication, she is able to take her one pill in the morning.
Please understand that when you talk to your doctor again about your Celexa prescription, you must commit to taking this daily as it is prescribed. I suggest you have Bob in the exam room with you so he hears what the doctor says too, in case you forget.

Would someone tell me why taking this drug is for depression? Thank you.

I am wondering why I feel so cold when it says 78. Guess I will get under the covers and go take my meds first.

@halfpint1 The person who needs to tell you why you’re taking a drug, is the person who prescribed it. Call your doctor’s office.

Celexa (citalopram) is an antidepressant medication that may help treat anxiety disorders by adjusting the amount of the chemical serotonin in the brain. Serotonin is a neurotransmitter involved in regulating mood and feelings of well-being. People who are deficient in serotonin are at risk for depression and anxiety.

@halfpint1 I think a lot of people feel cold as they get older. My father is cold all the time. He lives in an assisted living facility. Every time I visit him his heat is on high. I turn it off while I'm there and am still sweating. He thinks it's cold. I remember my grandmother was always cold, too.

I jhave closed the doors to the den and feel a little warmer. Kind of ridiculous when it is hot out today. i have gotten letters from the gas company telling me how much I spend. Course lots of people work and no gas usage then. They had a number to call to have someone over to check it out. It was ridiculous for I just asked him to fix the vents. Wonder what he reported for nothing was done except that and nothing said.
