When it happens, there is very little anyone can do..unless having the intense pain being there, while in a surgical room, ready.

I, too, am sorry for your deep loss, so immensely. You have not to be an older person to be pre disposed to this horrific death or pain.

What is always mystifying is when any patient is under a physician's care and technology's pictures actually show...and the shrug of shoulders are telling a non-professional, you are doing fine.

Without going into another topic, there was equally as close to this with my (young) husband in 2012. 

If, and I mean "IF" I had not demanded a mri (embolism) /head,then my husband would not be here today.

  He is doing fine and very active. 

It took that 1 small observing symptom to know. Angel1Puppy, I __got__them good! The chief of surgeons had to come in (as my husband and son looked on) to apologize for the very wrong that was not done by a consensus of 'docs' that said, nothing was abnormal.

Little gods at work! What caused the mri to be done, was plenty of screaming $$$s. 

  Did they ever reap their consequences. I never back down or off when 99 percent of what I believe, comes to bearing fruit, and made concrete!

I was so very deeply touched by your post. It really got to me on so many levels --- and as I was reading it --- I thought --- this could be me writing this!  You stay strong, my dear, just as you have been because you know in your heart, soul and mind when something is not right and if we don't act and follow through --- then all is lost.  I wish you both nothing but the best.  Yes, doctors/surgeons can be a God send, but they can also be the cause of our demise by their carelessness or unwillingness to even listen.  Thank the Good Lord that you choose to stand up and be heard!!!  My heart is with you both!!!!!
