You will see elective surgeries cancelled or postponed.

[ Edited ]

You will be seeing many elective surgeries cancelled or postponed. When these surgeries happen there is the potential that patients with complications will need to use ICU resources such as ventilators. Cutting back on the chances of this this help to flatten the curve. We have only so much of these resources to go around.

@Mindy D Um, that started here in WA state at least 10 days ago. I know one person whose elective cataract surgery for one eye has been postponed. Had it been an emergency, that would be a different story.

All medical facilities in my region have suspended elective surgeries until further notice.
