Re: ** Wish Me Luck And Send A Cyber Hug, Please **

Read you post and was holding my breath till I found your update! Thank you Jesus!

I too am a breast cancer survivor so I know how unsettling all this can be.

So happy for you and continued good health!

Update if anyone cares: following a 3D imaging and an ultrasound today, the radiologist is confident that it is scar tissue from my previous cancer surgery that they were seeing on the mammogram. That being said, they want me to go through these same two procedures in six months, rather than a year, to be on the safe side. It was frightening to me because the spot that showed up on the mammogram was on the right b*east and in the same spot as before.

Thank you for your words of encouragement. {#emotions_dlg.wub}

twopeas,

I definitely care.

Just saw your this thread and read down to see if you had an update. I a very happy for you that with this outcome. I have never had cancer but I have spent most of my time during hospital appointment visits in their Cancer Center. That is where I get my blood transfusion and iron infusions and I've met a lot of people with all types of cancer while there.

Even though I have never had cancer I was getting an Endo every 6 months for 2 years because of my Barrett's Esophagus. It is now every years. I also had Ultrasounds for both my lungs spots and spots on my kidneys, and both were every 3 months for 2 years. They were more of an issue as the spot on my right lung disappeared only to be spotted on my left lung. Started all over with every 3 months with that one.

The kidney went to every 6 months for 2 years and now it is annually. The lung is still every 6 months.

Your news sounds pretty good and hopefully you are ok with the diagnosis. I can certainly understand your concern when you heard the location of the spot. Hopefully your next visit in 6 months shows things completely clear. Thanks for your update on this.

Thank you, John. You have been through so much and are such a trooper. It's kind of you to take the time to respond to my thread. Having already lost two younger brothers, I always feel blessed (plus a little bit of survivor's guilt) that God has watched over me for as long as He has. The very best to you and your wife always. I'm glad all went well! I recently had a breast cancer scare also. Thankfully it did not look suspicious.

{#emotions_dlg.thumbup} I'm glad to hear that things look good, and that you will be getting a checkup in six months. You're a brave woman!! If you keep taking care of yourself and getting regular checkups, you'll probably get plenty of use out of that body. Wink

The same thing happened to me last year. Something suspicious showed up on my mammogram and I had to repeat it plus have an ultrasound. There was nothing found. Today, I had my annual mammogram and will be nervous tomorrow every time the phone rings. Good luck to you. Warm hugs, Sue
