I purchased Andrew's Free Range. Have had the Marine Collagen before, but the price difference made my decision.

The discussion here made me want to look up collagen supplements so I did.
Apparently, bovine collagen is type I and III.
Marine Collagen Pepties are supposedly smaller molecules so they are taken in by the GI tract better (?)
The article I read said not to take type II (from chickens) at the same time as type I and III.
I’m still confused but trying to learn!

I could use something that helps my gums and teeth.
Can you take both supplements at the same time?

What have you decided about which collagen product to use?
TIA

I caved and ordered the Consult Beaute which has all three types. I also did some research but didn't see anything that said you shouldn't take them together. Now, after reading your previous post, I'm wondering if I made the right decision?

The article I was reading today was from “Energetic Nutrition” and this company makes it’s own line of collagen products. (Neocell)
So, it might be difficult to know how credible the information is, but the article is very informative.

I have been using two scoops daily of the Marine Collagen from Procaps Lab. I would assume you could take the bovine and marine types together.
I am going to hold off buying either type until Andrew's presentation in July. He said the marine source that he used was getting more expensive and thus he created a bovine version. I watched his presentation, but it was brief and he didn't go into much detail in comparing and contrasting the two types, other than the source, and cost differences.

Thank you for the information! I will look into it.

Bovine collagen, which is made of the skin, bones, and muscles of cows, is rich in Type 1 and Type 3 collagen. Both of these types are some of the most abundant in the human body, making them an excellent “fit,” if you will, for our consumption.
fish collagen also contains higher levels of a certain amino acid, hydroxyproline (14). Hydroxyproline is unique in that several of its peptides are not digested completely, which allows them to be detected in your blood. Because of this, they help stimulate collagen synthesis by activating skin, joint, and bone cells.

“ Bovine Collagen vs. Marine Collagen: The Difference and Useful Tips”
The sources I have been reading state that fish peptides are “mostly Type I Collagen.
The different sources of collagen determine what the particular collagen peptide does best.
Collagen comes in 10 types. HTH
