Where Is the Best Place to Work Out?

OK, I live in a small city now, so we don't have a lot of places to work out. I realize that I need to do this. I'll be 62 next month. I'm about 17 pounds overweight...was doing good, but then my dad passed. I'm gaining without overeating or eating improperly. I heard that it is related to the cortisol/stress in your body.

We don't have many choices in this city...Curves, Anytime Fitness, or the YMCA. I'm not motivated enough to do this at home. I'd like to start slow and do some machines. I have fibromyalgia, so I need to start slow, but I know that it will help that also. I'm also rehabbing from a fractured wrist (plate/8 screws). I hear negative things about this place and that place. What have your experiences been? Thanks!
