My parents qualified for a manual wheelchair and electric scooters because of Medicare.

You shouldn’t have any problems finding one at a reasonable price.

There are wheelchairs and transport chairs. I ordered a transport chair about 10 years ago from QVC. I don't know if they still sell them but it was a Godsend when she was unable to walk very far and it allowed her to see my granddaughters dance recital and other things because I could push her in it...very lightweight, folded easily and fit in the car with no problem. I passed it on to a dear friend who has used it for years to get his wife to and from her dialysis and dr appts. If you need a large wheelchair you can also rent them. You do not need a dr. prescription to get one.

PT recommended one with flip up arms so I'm still shopping ( the one I planned on getting has a fixed arm).  Looks like I have to increase the weight which I really didn't want to do.  Maybe I will check out renting as an option too.  Darn, I thought I found a great chair, now I'm back to square one.
