Generally speaking, your choices will be masticating vs centrifugal.

Masticating will be slow crushing & will yield very dry pulp.

Centrifugal will be quicker but the juice will be foamier...

and the units generally will be less expensive.

Also centrifugal doesn’t work the best with leafy greens.

Many who used to juice are now blending, which allows you

to drink the fiber.

Vitamix by far IMO.  I had a Breville but it took so long to clean after one use, I wouldn't use it.

It is a little expensive but well worth the cost.  And cleaning it up it a breeze.  The only time I had to spent a little effort in cleaning is if I make peanut butter.

Mine isn't the top of the line with all the variable speeds, just on/off and high/low, but I have found that is all I need.

I wouldn't be without it, and purchased one for each of my children, who at the time, were so/so about getting it as a gift, but after using it, they wouldn't be without one either.

......You look like I need a drink.....

Just a reminder:

Vitamix, Blendtec or other high speed machines are blenders.

They will blend the veg/fruit...unlike a Juicer.

Juicer will extract all the pulp.

Blenders will keep the pulp.

I have a Juice Lady juicer that I used for awhile many years ago but it is a huge hassel to clean it and so much pulp thrown away. I have a Vitamix that I use everyday and can benefit from the fiber and pulp in my smoothies. Juices are not good for you as they are pure sugar with little nutruients that the fiber/pulp can provide. In fact I have that juicer in my pile of donations.

I want a BLENDA!!!  I was rolling along fine with a Ninja and then it bit the dust. I've had 2 of them. Back to my Osterizer which works fine for some smoothies but I want a Vitamix!

The price just makes me stop.  Soon I will have to Press GO, though.

Re: What's the best juicer?

[ Edited ]

I have a vitamix, but have only used it for fruit/milk shakes, which are very good.  Once, I included some real GREEN greens, but it did leave little particles.  I have a working juicer from 1970's, but it leaves the juice a little too thin for my taste.  So I want a super duper juicer to make those wiz bang pow juices.  I can't make up my mind.  HELP!!!
