It is more likely to be YouTube or "just one more episode!" of whatever TV show I'm binge watching than anything else.

Same here....left shoulder. I'm a side sleeper so that makes sleep come harder. Lately, I've been sleeping in a recliner and that helps some. I've also been following some of the recommended exercises on youtube.

I pee once because I take hydrochlorothiazide for high blood pressure at bedtime. Can't take it in the AM as usually too many commitments. Once a night getting up isn’t too bad.
Made me think about a good herbal recommended for men Saw Palmetto and I know it worked well to curb nighttime peeing. Think it has something to do with the prostate but wonder if it would work for women.
no, you shouldn't take something to stop you from urinating. That would defeat the purpose of your "water pill"- to reduce the fluid volume in your system so that your blood pressure doesn't get high. Your problem is that you are taking the med at night. Should always be taken in the morning or at least no later than 2 pm
Great points I need to lower the volume and not suppress it.
Not a big problem taking it at night only get up once and go right back to sleep.
Too many commitments during the day so it's all good.

For those who have issues with getting up in the night for bathroom visits, you may try stopping drinking at 7:00 or 2-3 hours before your bedtime. That does the trick for me (although I don't have any medical "over going" issues that some may have).
Sorry, my grammar sounds off? haha....anyway....
I'm still adaquately hydrated because I concentrate my hydration to the beginning and middle of the day. Starting with 2 glasses full of water when I wake.....

@smoochy Nothing. My head hits the pillow, after prayers, I am out.
My DH has found that magnesium cream rubbed on the bottom of his feet has helped his nightly waking up immensely. It is also wonderful for leg cramps. We purchase Nakery's magnesium products.
I have to cringe thinking about you feeding your dog PopTarts. Sorry, but that is how I am. They aren't very healthy for you either.....lol. You can tell me to MMOB
. Eating sugar has all kinds of ill effects, and dry mouth is one.
Do you turn the light on when you get up to use the bathroom? Try not to. This can really disrupt the sleep cycle.

when I say I share my pop tarts, I mean that I give Pixie just a tiny corner or two. The size of a dog food kibble. But to her, its so great and she loves that I am "sharing" lol. I should not be eating this junk food at all.
In the bathroom I have a night light. I dont turn on the main light.

I suspect that being on any device late at night stimulates brain cells and does the opposite of what we need to fall asleep.
I'm always reading a couple of books at a time, and night-time reading has always helped.
I just have to be sure not to doze off while holding the book (I'm usually prone) and suddenly it tips forward and hits me in the face. THAT wakes me up faster than anything! Whoa!

I play Zen Word but wanted to try Wordle, so I may have questions for you. On another point, was that conversation on the new thread ... odd? I hope you know what I'm referring to.
