Gosh I have all kinds, old and new. I like to find songs that match my pace.
Old favorite - Michael Jackson's Wanna Be Starting Something.
Newer songs - Uptown Funk (Bruno Mars), Shake It Off (Taylor Swift), Believer and Best Day of My Life (both by American Authors).

My music always depended on the type of run. Long and easy going or fast/short intervals. No particular songs or artists.

I listen to a MIX station, they play a lot of new, a little bit older. Whenever I hear a song I like, I download it in iTunes and place it in my Favorites playlist. Then, I put my Bose earbuds in, connect it to my iPhone, and put the playlist on shuffle. It seems like an hour on the treadmill or bike passes in 15 minutes.
Music is so personal, it's hard to recommend, but some of my favs are:
Dog Days are Over - Florence and the Machine
Take Me to Church - Hozier
Happy - Pharrel Williams
Wake Me Up - Avicii
Jealous - Nick Jonas
Wrecking Ball - Miley Cyrus

I always enjoyed hearing Steppin' Out by Joe Jackson. An aerobics instructor used to start her class with song. It really got our heart rate going and got the class motivated for the workout session.
