Have you ever tried soaking your almonds?

Just cover almonds in water overnight...and it gives them 

a chewy texture.   I used to prep containers of almond-apple-celery

for snacks...just something different.

Stay away from the processed food, the sugar, the flour.

 

Eat lots of fruits and vegetables and get enough protein.

 

Drink enough pure water.

 

Get good quality sleep!

 

And work out hard.  Being lazy (and I know about injuries and having to lay off) feeds on itself.   BUT give yourself adequate recovery time between the hard workouts.
