@World Traveler   My doctor recommended the rebounder for use in the winter when I cannot walk out side...I need bone building exercise.  I like it, and use it several times a week.

@Mom2Dogs I like to get some really great energetic music going while using the rebounder; but sometimes it is just nice to have a gentle up/down, rhythmic bounce going. I also use an inversion (by Teeter) table.

Re: What about the vibrating machine?

I've always wondered how they worked, in Europe, in the big cities, there are a number of studios that use exclusively this equipment for exercise. They seem to be fairly common.

I'm sorry, but you can't jiggle the fat away.

Re: What about the vibrating machine?

@febe1 ...there is some interesting studies using vibration therapy for preventing  bone loss. And building bone...

..the astronauts are using this technology for preventing bone loss from being in a no gravity state in space.

You can Google it....here is one such write up that is very interesting

I like using my rebounder.....bounce up and down on it. Have used it for years on the theory (and research sometime back) that it is good for the lymphatic system, which helps with the immune system.

I would think the vibrating machine might aid in that area too. Not sure about losing weight, but would be good for getting the system moving!

@World Traveler    lol.  I'm pretty sure Dr. Fauci hasn't mentioned a vibrating machine.

I first experienced them at a local naturopath's office.

You can use them on a drop in basis and they have the full size professional models. When we were in shutdown, I bought a platform model with oscillation for home use on the A. About $275.

I am highly skeptical -reminds me of those machines they had many years ago that had a belt that went around the hips and vibrated. They went away because they didn't do anything.
