mammogram, renal ultrasound, MRI with contrast, colonoscopy, filiing a tooth, root canal, and does the fun ever end? I'm only 60!!! Any suggestions on how to not dread the summer?
Well, at least some of those are preventative or screenings, so there's that. And a root canal can happen at any age.

@Helen BachThat is a lot. I would schedule at least a couple on the same day. Mammo/lunch/tooth filling.
The colonoscopy wasn't such a big deal, but it was 2 days shot out of my week!
I fell asleep during my root canal. The dr said I was snoring!
I had my first MRI Wednesday & that was horrifying to me. But, it went pretty quickly. I had to concentrate on the music they were playing & count down the songs so that I knew it was almost over. 1 song. 3 minutes. 2 songs. 6 minutes. Only 24 minutes to go....
Then schedule an appointment to get your nails done or something that you enjoy.
I hope everything goes well for you!

Helen Bach, the past couple months I've been going through the process of getting a dental implant, and I had my right hip replaced a week ago. (But then again, I am a decade older than you--my 71st birthday was today.)

I understand
It does get tiresome
I have TWO appointments Monday
Primary & cardiologist.
Next month, gastro doctor
June is nephrologist
And that's if everything is "normal"
I've already been in the hospital twice in 2019
I'm at the point now it's all hard to keep up with.
Each diagnosis, all the meds, appointments
But it's good to be alive
Life is not easy, but it's a blessing

Stop focusing on the bad!! It's going to be Summer! Get out and do something constructive. These procedures only take up minutes of your Summer, use all the many other minutes enjoying the lovely weather.

Sounds similar to my summer of 2012----spent from April to the end of the year being dx with breast cancer, all the tests, scans and planning and then all the surgeries, chemo treatments, drs visits, shots, radiation treatments until the end of January when I was done with it all. Was a crazy ride---I was 59 then. Just breathe !!!!!

The ; longer you live, the more medical appointments you will have. That's just a fact of life.
