@JeanLouiseFinch The seed oils never agreed with me. I would like to lose 20 to 30 lbs. myself. I have gone from a medium to an xtra lrg and am back down to a large since my health problems last summer. I would be happy with medium. Like you my faith holds me and is steadfast.
It's good you have had a quick recovery. I'm glad to hear that you are doing so well. I agree that one can overdo supplements. If I don't notice a change after a couple of months, I do away with it. The two I take regularly are Vit D (doctor ordered) and C. My gums don't bleed if I stay on the C. I recently started on a Collagen Powder....If I don't notice a difference after finishing this one up....I won't get it again.

Thanks everyone for all the replies.
Doctors can't solve everything and I was thinking it would be helpful to see how "people" themselves are learning to read their own bodies and what they have tried that worked. Hopefully, we can learn a lot from each other and at least try a few things we may not have thought of. I realize it's "different strokes for differnent folks"....but It doesn't hurt to learn what has helped others. I have found your answers to be interesting and most helpful and I hope you find some things that work for you, too!

I rarely get sick and bounced back rather quickly from my right radical nephrectomy done on on Feb. 12th.
My faith is rock solid and unshakable. I conduct my life daily in accordance with it.
I'm currently not taking any supplements and am in the process of re-evaluating my regimen to figure out, with my nurse practitioner, what's really needed and safe for me to take. No more taking something because I heard about it in a chat forum. No more mega doses either unless medically prescribed after a blood test confirms a deficiency.
Glad to hear you are having a speedy recovery!🙏🏻
Will you still be able to stay on a Keto diet or will it just be low carb with fruit and vegetables?

@Starpolisher - even though I don't have kidney disease, I'm taking notice of certain things because I don't want to overburden my remaining kidney. That's me, though. My surgeon said there is no special diet for me to follow so I'll try to limit some things but not completely eliminate them. Ever since I began my keto lifestyle I've always eaten certain vegetables and berries. That part will stay the same. I don't alway hit my fat goal everyday and I think that's ok. For the most part, I'll stay with healthy keto but some days may have a cheat with so-called keto breads and tortillas which, to me, are not keto friendly but can be ok as a low carb option.
