Well, now I have his headcold

I'll have to invest in Kleenex stock tomorrow at the store. LOL  His sounds like it could be going into his chest, so I'm keeping an eye on that one!!!  No fever for him, so, we're being aware.  Every time the weather temps change, it seems you can come down with a cold. Hate all this nose blowing.

Re: Well, now I have his headcold

I commiserate, @qualitygal --  hubby suddenly has a persistent scratchy throat that has cancelled a planned coffee get-together this a.m...    He thought by amping up the Zicam yesterday it might subside, but no.  We're keeping an eye on symptoms too.

Hoping you at your house get and stay well too!

Re: Well, now I have his headcold

Hi, I don’t want to be a downer, but I live in the Northeast, and also thought I had a head cold, but tested positive for Covid. If you research the symptoms, runny nose and congestion are symptoms. Originally, I thought just allergies due to change of seasons.

Allergy cough or so I thought, runny nose. And heavy head are my only symptoms.

No fever, No sore throat, no breathing problems. The only reason I tested was because

two co workers had similar symptoms but with a fever, same time frame as me. They got tested... both positive. I was told to get tested.. I’m still home quarantining, still waiting for my symptoms to clear. That virus is very sneaky. I did get shots in April.

Feel Better!

@qualitygal @Oznell,

Some most common symptoms of delta amoung others are

congestion, sore throat, runny nose.

So just to be safe, get tested (and not just a rapid but a pcr (the few days test).

My sil and daughter would never had known they had it-just a few sneezes, runny nose, congestion, if they hadn't gotten tested.

Re: Well, now I have his headcold

Yeah, I didn't think congestion was a symptom.  My husband brought home a "cold", a week later tested positive for Covid.  I was taking my Elderberry gummies and sleeping with a pillow between us, but I got it too.  I, too, thought it was a combination of allergies (itchy nose, sneezing which are not symptoms of covid) and a head cold, but I lost my sense of smell which is a definite cue that it is covid.  I never had a cough, just bad congestion and headache.  Advil Cold & Sinus, which has pseudoephedrine and ibuprofen for headache and fever, to the rescue

@qualitygal Rule out COVID. Home tests available at CVS and Walgreens. Two tests in a box. Results in minutes. Some CVS and Walgreens have delivery. C81913B3-1582-47DB-95C0-4E1CC46FF382.jpeg

Hope you feel better soon. I ran out of Kleenex. Went through several rolls of tp.

DH told me that a few months ago when I had headache, sore throat plus blowing my nose like never before. After a couple of days I had about 3 days of pain mostly my back. It was gone in a week. I did have a slight dry cough. I did not get tested but it was probably Covid. It was different from colds/allergies I have had before.

DH felt a little achy, running nose & lost his voice for about 3 days. He gargled with Bragg's apple cider vinegar.
