This new program is great. I urge anyone that couldnt lose weight on the previous program to give SmartPoints a try. I have lost 10 pounds since Jan 1, unheard of for me. Its much stricter than PP program, but this works!!

I agree, Smart Points is the way to go. I have lost 14.4 pounds since Dec. 13th, and I go weigh in tomorrow. I did Points Plus too, but the new program is better.

I joined WW on September 26th and as of today down 26.8 pounds. I eat a fruit or a vegetable with every meal. I tend to stick with a high fiber diet with most of the fiber coming from plants. No smoothies, on WW fruite is "0" points but in a smoothie all the fruits have points because the body does not have to work to digest the food. I only eat salad if I am out and actually avoid it and here is why. The dressing adds a lot of points because of the fat. Veggies like Green Beans and Broccoli have a lot more fiber than the lettuce. Check it out. Once I stopped eating salads weight loss became so much easier. I love WW, it has worked really well for me and plan to contiue. I also make sure I walk at least 5000 steps per day on my fitbit. I don't use all of my fit points and smart points a week. I try to stick to it everyday and I guess I always do well because I hardly go into my extra points.

The new system assigns points differently, but the fit points really add up, so I wear a fitbit. I lost 4.4 pounds in the last 2 weeks, just weighed in today. I love WW, it is working for me and I am 57.

Well, my change worked and I lost a pound. Due to my back, exercise is pretty much out, but I do what I can. Maybe today I can lose another and I'll be on my weekly target goal.
Thank you ladies who responded kindly, one I just sort of ignore anyway, due to that person's track record here. So thank you. Oh and I do agree WW's works, I just needed to tweek and will till I get there. I believe in WW.

Keep on plugging along is all I can say. I know there's always plateaus in dieting. And for goodness sakes don't starve yourself, that is supposed to be worse than being overweight. Lower your expectations, Rome wasn't built in a day as they say.
I had a friend who did WW on line, and she looked amazing when she was done.

Have you tried laying on your back on your bed and doing arm and leg exercises? That would be very low impact and protect your back. A PT could recommend something like that.

You don't need to belong to a group to do this, or eat dried out fake food. I'm proof of it. You need determination and research on what foods to eat that are filling. Good luck to you!!!!, and hang in there. You are so right about it being insane to keep doing what doesn't work for you. We all should find what works for our individual needs. A big hint for me was watching the sugar count. It's in many prepared foods, but that doesn't mean you can't eat those foods. Just keep it in check. Sugar is the evil of the food chain. Cut that back, and you've won half the battle.

Congratulations on your new success @qualitygal! I just wanted to add that my sister has had great success on WW. One thing she has mentioned that may also be helpful to you is to be sure to drink enough water. She found when all other factors were in line that drinking water seemed to help improve her results.
