Re: Welcome to the November Exercise Thread

I hope you had a good class, Patty. Enjoy your warm day before it gets cold. Bopper, I wish I could have seen you cut the tree! You're resourceful!! I'm on vacation today, back to work tomorrow. I got my hair cut, stopped for cat food that I have to get at the vet's office, laundry, cooking lunches....whew, it's been a busy day fore vacation day. Will do TG today...I sure have been ignoring my muscles. I need to get back in the groove.

Re: Welcome to the November Exercise Thread

Hi, all!! Snowy, slick and COLD here today. Wind chills in the teens. :-0 Had a long work day, then appts and grocery shopping. I didn't get home til after dark and it was dark when I left this morning, so I just was not feeling a workout. My abs are still sore from Saturday. I was under the weather with a touch of stomach stuff yesterday, so I didn't work out this evening. I was pretty tired when I got home. Not sure if it was something I ate or what -- all I know is it wasn't the full blown stuff lots of people have had. I'm staying as far away from that as possible!! Knock on wood! Tmrw is work and the cable guy gas to come bring us a new box bc our other one pooped out on us. I'm supposed to have dinner with a friend, but I haven't heard from her yet. If I don't, then I'll likely do Pilates or something around the house. Bopper, I was dying laughing at your tree story. Girl, that would TOTALLY happen to me! And I'd be dying laughing at myself, too!!!!! Nomless, hope you enjoyed your day off. And your TG. Smiley Wink Patty, don't ignore that baby girl like that. Lol! That's how ours act when we've been gone for more than a couple of hours. They are so deprived of love and affection - insert biggest eye roll imaginable here!! Ok, I need to get to bed!! Busy day tmrw!!

Re: Welcome to the November Exercise Thread

Oh I know FUTURE, they're so abused! Wink{#emotions_dlg.rolleyes} You should see her face when I take her in the morning and then stick her in the kennel to go to gym or back out by myself...she looks like her entire world is caving in. I hope you feel okay, it's going around here. We were in the 70's yesterday and 30's this morning....you know that is really when everyone gets sick.

Yes, nomless, I enjoyed class...it was step with weights(not at same time). Then I did weights after in the weight room. I irritated that pulled muscle in my chest again....grrrrr! I'm so mad, I took a bunch of time off of upper too.

And I have the Aerobathon on Thursday so I can't be hurting for that! My Denmark friend talked me into signing up for that. Should be a lot of fun, I've done a couple of them before. It's a mix of all different classes for 3 hours...Bootcamp, Spin, Step, etc.

Tomorrow Lucy is going to the groomers that I really like(it's a drive from our house) so I'm meeting my gf for a 6-mile run and Starbuck's while she's being done.

No, bopper, I don't like game, never have and never will. I know a lot of people that don't...I think it's one of those things that you either have the taste for, or you don't at all. Be careful out there!

Doing laundry now...did bedsheets yesterday because I have such a busy week and wanted to get them done. Hitting the pavement this morning then will lift legs. I don't want anything sore for Thursday though.

Re: Welcome to the November Exercise Thread

Hi, everyone, it's a sunny day here and not too windy, so it feels like a nice day even though it's only about 25* or so. Not bad at all. I took advantage of the nice day to fill my car with gas.

Patty, the Aerobathon sounds tough, but fun. I can't wait to hear about it. Poor Lucy, getting disappointed when she can't go with you.

Hi, Future. I hope your week goes well and you avoid the illness others are getting.

Hi, Bopper, have you found any more trees to cut? I'm sure that's good exercise.

I'm back at work today. Have lots to do by the end of the year and not much time to do it in because I have a lot of vacation to take, as well, or I'll lose it. Yikes, it's going to be crazy.

Tonight I'll either do cardio or Katami. I feel like I need a good stretch, and his k-bell w/o's certainly do that. I used to love my DVDs but I've seemed to tire of them. I'll decide what to do when I get home.

Have a good day, everyone.

Re: Welcome to the November Exercise Thread

Morning! DH got up at 3 and turned the heat on so by 5, I was hot! Teens for this area isn't something people here are used to in November.

None of you guys live around Buffalo do you? The pictures are beautiful but when they're shutting the interstate down up there over snow...you know it's bad. Snow was taller than the cars and still coming down. Over 2-feet in such a short period of time(over 5 inches in 2 hours) with more on the way.

I ordered our ugly Christmas sweaters yesterday for the Command party. Got that outfit out of the way...lol. Then went to TJMaxx and spent a boatload...ay....but pretty much got all my gifts taken care. They have the best TJMaxx here, I missed it! {#emotions_dlg.rolleyes} Bought Lucy a new bed and she won't sleep in it...just stands guard in case one of the cats walks over by it, then she tears after them and lets them have it. We've had a couple of time-outs.{#emotions_dlg.glare}

I'm meeting my gf this morning to run and for smoothies while Lucy is groomed. My sciatica was so bad last night and then this stupid pulled muscle in my chest/back.

I know what you're saying nomless, I'm in a bit of a rut myself. This gym is so crowded and the class times are weird. I'm really considering doing CrossFit again but I hate paying when I have a free gym that I can actually run/walk to...feel foolish paying AND having to drive with such a good deal right here.

Finally made our reservations for PA. Debating on whether we should do Christmas while we're up there. So hard with ds's schedule...they're short-handed at his work so he's working all holidays.

Re: Welcome to the November Exercise Thread

Hey all, I finally could sign in. I ready they are having difficulties here.

Did some snow shoeing again today...I sure am enjoying being in the woods...it's a good workout too. Kinked my neck yesterday trying to pick myself up from my Keester which I fell on while skiing ...trying to straddle a tree....dumb move on my part but as you know I cut the trees out of my way with a saw later in the day!

Pppmint I hope you enjoy your time with the kids,,,and Lucy starts wanting to go in her new bed....you did good with your shopping. Feels good to be almost done especially with all your other activities you have going on.

Nomless take that vacation time! I know you want to but still have work that needs to get done.

FUTURE sure hope your feeling better...sounds like your weather isn't so grand either. My friends in Florida are rubbing it in that they were in the 80's. They are way South though because I heard Florida was also cold.

Playing Christmas music and making cookies!

Have a good day!

Re: Welcome to the November Exercise Thread

Hi, kids! Boy, it's quiet here again, but I sure enjoy hearing from Bopper and Patty.

Bopper, I've never snow shoed. I get it's gorgeous in the woods. Are the bears gone? Hibernating now? I hope so!

Patty, your story about Lucy and her new bed is so funny! She doesn't want to use it but wants to be sure no one else does either??? Too funny. It's amazing how even animals develop the concept of "mine."

The snow in Buffalo, et.al., is incredible. I'm sooo glad I'm not there and feel badly for those who are. It'll take days for them to dig out and for things to get even somewhat back to normal. The need some warm weather to do some melting.

Patty, I bet your ugly sweaters are fun. Congrats on your TJM haul. I need to check it out. I don't have many gifts to buy but I have no ideas for the ones I need to get. So frustrating. Glad your trip to PA is arranged. I hope DS is doing better every day.

I'll do cardio tonight. I hope I can get there before the crowd turns up. Maybe they'll stay home tonight. I wish they'd get equipment with TVs etc on each station. That would be so much nicer.

Gotta go do some work. Have a good evening everyone. Stay warm.

Re: Welcome to the November Exercise Thread

I was the only one in the workout room tonight. The bike isn't fixed, so I did intervals on the treadmill. Did a longer workout than usual. Felt good.

Re: Welcome to the November Exercise Thread

Yes, hi cater! Hope you're doing okay and having a nice week. {#emotions_dlg.wub}

Yep nomless, that's what she does...never goes in it, just guards it and peels after the cats and head-butts them if they go near it. We discipline her too but she won't stop...and I mean we've really come down pretty hard on her. First dog we haven't been able to control...4.5lbs is too much for us...hahaha! She's so well-behaved in some areas, but she is such a bully to the cats and we can't seem to break her of it.

Done with my chores, taking Lucy out for a mile, and then will meet my gf at the gym for the Aerobathon! {#emotions_dlg.thumbup} She has to leave early but I'm sticking it out. I'm wondering what the CrossFit instructor will have us do...they all take turns. I definitely should have enough energy with everything I ate yesterday.{#emotions_dlg.blushing}

I thought I was almost done before bopper! LOL! That's what happens, I keep adding more. Some of it is just stuff they need that they won't buy because they are soooo frugal...and cheap. And I'm not saying anything I don't say to them...{#emotions_dlg.laugh}...they're the first ones to admit they don't spend any money...they save everything. Good in some ways but when you're trying to wear socks from college that have holes in them...come on.{#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

Lucy just went after Kat and scared me half-to-death!!! She was sleeping under a blanket but Kat walked by her bed and she flew out with both barrels smoking! My heart is racing...she does that at night too when one of the cats jump up on the bed, she doesn't want them on the bed with her mom and dad. {#emotions_dlg.sneaky} The groomer said she was an angel yesterday...um, not sure I'm buying it.{#emotions_dlg.laugh}
