Re: Welcome to the November Exercise Thread

Good morning, all!

Yesterday's Quick Fit was packed and it was a hard class.  I wanted to slap the instructor.  Today is small group and I am not looking forward to it.  The leader's GF, who has also been a personal trainer, is joining us and so everyone but me goes insane.  I do not enjoy that type of work out.  Rumor has it that tomorrow our boss is letting us work from home, but I was really looking forward to yoga.  I may just come in for a half day so I can do that class at 10.

Holidays bring out the worst in people, much like death.  My mom has to go over to my nephew's apartment and the girlfriend/fiancee is a real witch to my family.  I can't wait to hear what happens.  These people are still in the Let's not rock the boat phase.  I've moved way beyond that and if I don't like something, I just won't do it.  Especially if there is attitude on someone else's part.  Life is too short to get caught up in that drama.

If I don't show up tomorrow--you'll know I've started my 4 day weekend early!  I wish you all a wonderful Thanksgiving--it's too bad we can't have our own "family" dinner here!

Re: Welcome to the November Exercise Thread

@bopper I'm glad Logan is okay.....

Son wanted to run on the trail.....of course right after I had eaten.......we walked and jogged 2.4mi/37min.

My retriever Sammie has had a poor appetite.  We changed her food as my husband thinks she developed a grain allergy.  She upchucked a few times over the past month.....which she never has before.  So, I'll see how she is tomorrow.  She is peppy on her walks though.

Re: Welcome to the November Exercise Thread

Restarted my Fitbit last night and it's not helping the battery. I think I am going to take my own advice and get the cheap knock off with good reviews.

Off to work where I hope it's not too crazy before I get to leave it all behind for a day. I hope everyone has a great holiday and doesn't kill a family member in the next 48 hours. I promise to try. 😉

Re: Welcome to the November Exercise Thread

Happy Wednesday, I don't think it's ever going to quit snowing here, they said an inch an hour and it is!  Sigh........   Did 45 minutes on the TG this morning, I"m really upping my game because I need to!   Snow shoeing now.... We are having a non traditional Thanksgiving, Lasagna and my home made sauce is already done and simmering so I feel ahead of the game.    I'll workout tomorrow morning also.

Thanks MickD about Logan, I hope I don't run into that guy again but I won't hold my breath if he takes his kids sledding there again, and he is on Private Property which is posted.  I got permission to walk there from the owner.   I'm telling him that too if I see him.

Laura which knock off is it you are speaking of?  I hope mine keeps going.

DrKelli I hope your class goes good, I liked your music selection too!

foxxie I will be counting my blessings too.   I do every day, nothing taken for granted here for sure!

Judy waving to you, are you smelling smoke for the fires in CA?  So many people affected by this, how will their Thanksgivings me?  Sad indeed.

Well I sat long enough and I should go snowshoe, not the easiest holding a leash and a dog who pulls a lot but I"ll try it, I need to pack it down so it's easier to go on, and its deep now.

Adios!

Re: Welcome to the November Exercise Thread

@bopper  It's by LETSCOM and for $48 I got the tracker which does everything the HR Charge 2 does (except the meditation which I never used) and 5 extra bands.  If it goes bad in two years, it won't owe me a penny.  It you don't want the extra bands, you're out $29.

Hope to get it soon so I can try it out.  I charged my Fitbit last night and it's below 50% in less than 24 hours.  I will never buy from this company again.  It's just not for me.

TGIF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My son wanted to go for a run so I begrudgingly went.......as I was eating carrots, drinking wine, and cleaning the kitchen.

He sapped out and went home.....I did the normal route......had to walk a bit....under the influence slightly....ha!

Re: Welcome to the November Exercise Thread

Hi everyone.  Hope you all had an enjoyable Thanksgiving.  Went to daughter's house and had a fabulous dinner and then we played Scrabble - a tradition for us on holidays - and relaxed.  It started raining late afternoon and has rained all day today.  We so needed it.

Yes, @bopper we did have terrible air here due to the smoke.  I was wearing a mask for days every time I went outside.  Couldn't see much around here at all.  Most of the time it looked hazy and dark - like it was late afternoon - except it would be 2:00pm!  Didn't open any windows at home for well over a week.  The authorities were telling people to stay indoors.  The Air Quality Index was in the, I think its called, extremely unhealthy for all persons range - it was the highest range it goes.  It looked like something out of some futuristic horror movie.  I couldn't even see San Francisco nor when I was in the City, I couldn't see the East Bay - which I can usually.   Driving on the freeway, the Oakland skyline was barely visibile and the air looked so awful - you could see the smoke in the air.  It was really very, very bad.  It was like this for about 2 weeks.

So thankful for the rains of the last couple days.  It has cleaned out air, helped with the fire too.

Doing well with my inserts and my eye is doing great.  Hoping to finally be on the mend!  Will get some exercise tomorrow going up and down my stairs bringing up the tree and all the decorations from the garage.  Have a good weekend everyone!

Re: Welcome to the November Exercise Thread

Good morning everyone.  Well tomorrow will either be rain, a little snow, a couple of inches of snow or about seven inches of snow, depending upon the computer model that turns out to be accurate.  Say what?  Guess we’ll have to wait and see.

@JudyL, so glad you’re getting better.  It seems everyone’s Thanksgiving went well.  We went to an Italian restaurant and the food was delicious 😋.  Still have leftovers for today.

Zumba this morning unless I look out the window and see a white surprise, 😆.  Have a great weekend everyone.

Re: Welcome to the November Exercise Thread

Happy Saturday, well today it's foggy and drizzling out, strange weather, lots of the snow has settled and I see grass in places...

Today is my official rest day, and I can say I am taking it and looking forward to it.   I slept over 9 hours last night!  Can't remember when was the last time I ever did that...hahaha  Today I'm just cleaning and doing a little more decorating.  Have started packing for my trip.  I probably won't be checking in while I'm gone though so keep things rolling here please.  I leave in 2 weeks and gone for about 6 days.

I think I"ll watch Hallmark today, and maybe bake sometning.  No shopping as it's cra-cray out there LOL

Judy I am so glad it rained there, it's pretty terrible and everyone there is in my prayers.  Glad your eyes are doing better.

Waving to all the crew here!!
