Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Thread

Hi Everyone!  Its a beautiful day by the Bay!

Thank you all for the positive messages and support, it must have worked.  Couldn't work out again this morning cuz of the dizziness and plantar fascititis but my mood is much better than yesterday.  LOL  Will try again tomorrow!

Hope everyone is having a good day.

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Thread

Good morning everyone.  Yesterday was a beautiful day although I didn’t get beyond my deck, lol.

I decided to workout at home due to my sluggishness.  I did about an hour and a half of low impact aerobics and walking downstairs to upstairs during each commercial break.  I ended up with 22 stairs on my Fitbit and over seven miles.  Watching tv kept me from observing the time.

Definitely going to the fitness center this morning and will do my Senior Cardio class and some walking.

I hope everyone is well and will enjoy this lovely Friday.

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Thread

Good Morning and Happy Friday, it's a sunny morning, birdbath was frozen though so it is cold and 30 mph winds...

We had a very nice dinner last night with my sister and father for her birthday.  Nice ride as well.

Does anyone have the Simply Fit board?  I found some youtube workouts on it and they looked good.

Foxxie you did great yesterday, that's lots of movement and stairs!  I try walking around my house but my house is so small I'm back to the living room in less than 50 steps..I get dizzy hahaha..

Guess it's Total gym again this morning, which is fine but still nursing my hamstrings so upper body was yesterday, not sure about what to work on this morning besides abs and obliques.  I don't think I should do upper body again today.  Want to walk but need to see how cold this wind really is.

Is anyone interested in watching the Royal wedding?  I know some won't care in the least but I want to see some of it but won't be up at 4:30 am.   Then the preakness stakes in the afternoon.  I love horses and my sister has a horse and attended the Rolex in Kentucky which preceeds the Derby, so I saw some beautiful horses through pictures she sent me.

Enjoy your day everyone!

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Thread

Good morning, all!  It's the start of a rainy weekend here--boo.  Today isn't bad, but the wind is blowing like crazy.

I'm exhausted today and probably won't go down to the gym.  An old friend came into town last night and we had dinner.  I just stayed at work until he got in and it was a long day--12 hours in the office.  And I didn't get a lot of extra work done.  It was so good to see him--I haven't seen him for 5 or 6 years.  Our dinner was good and our waitress was just so sweet.  When she found out it was an early birthday dinner for us, she gave us dessert for free! (Not that I needed it for real).

@bopper, I have the Simply Fit board and have never used it!  Maybe I should get it out and try it out!  Especially since I'm not planning a trip to the gym today.

Well, yesterday in Zumba was interesting.  Because it wasn't Zumba, it was La Blast.  We had our regular teacher and she told me before class that she had given up her Zumba Instructor membership.  So she announces that she's teaching La Blast before class starts.  Personally, I don't care--I like that format too, although I wasn't crazy about the music.  Two people walked out about 15 minutes into class.  After class, someone commented about it and she said "well, someone can teach Zumba but it won't be me. I'm done with it."   She texted me after and asked how I thought it went and I told her that it wasn't positive.  The talk around the locker room was that people didn't really like it.  I think that if she would have taught Zumba the rest of the month and told us that it was going to change to La Blast, people would have had time to get used to it.  I don't want to lose her as a teacher, so I hope the people in class can make the switch.

I will be watching the wedding tomorrow.  I am awake at 5 any way, so I'll get to see a lot of it, but I did set the DVR, just in case my exhaustion wins!

Have a good weekend!

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Thread

@bopper  I'm watching the Royal Wedding.  Going to get up at 3:00am my time.  I watched Charles and Diana's wedding, Diana's funeral, and William and Kate's wedding.  Wouldn't miss this one.  Figured with it being on a Saturday, I can always take a nap later.

Dizziness is better but foot is hurting so no workout.  I think what I'll do is use the Body Gym for upper body workouts even tho I can't do any lower body.  At least it would be a start!

Its a gray, cool, overcast day by the Bay but sun should come out later.  Hope everyone has a good Friday!

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Thread

[ Edited ]

After getting the basement in order last Saturday, my mother changed her mind and decided to put the two piles we had made to remove back in the storage area because now she doesn't want to pay someone a few hundred bucks to get rid of it.

Of course, she is not here and I am all alone now so I moved furniture and all kinds of other stuff back into storage where you can't even walk and won't be able to get to when the dry wall goes up.  I have no idea what she is thinking.  She isn't and it's ticking me off.

Anyway, moral of this post, weight lifting done.  Oh and I banged my head really good on the hot water heater and had a crying moment.  I think it was an angel telling me to just do what I wanted to do and move the heck out of dodge for good.

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Thread

Well God knew I needed a pick me up.  I am an officially certified drug dealer.  Got a 1562 out of 1600 which is way better than my SATs ever were.  LOL

It's supposed to rain but I will be hiking my little self on the trails rain or shine this weekend.

Have a great weekend all!
