Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Thread

I like your picture today, Bopper.  I hope the weather improves so you could do outdoor stuff today.  Good job with Shred. Smiley Wink. You showed up and got it done.

I did errands today and took a nap because I couldn't sleep last night.watched some ANW....ESQ is doing a marathon today, tomorrow and Monday.  Did some cardio, too, but not very hard.

Lots of good wishes to all.

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Thread

Hey all, well the weather didn't pan out here so nothing outside....rain and thunder most of today.  We did go to breakfast early and at the time we went it was blue skies and sun and quickly the clouds, rain and thunder came..But it was nice eating by a window looking over the court yard at the restaurant.

Day off for me today.  Will workout tomorrow though, and hubby will have to occupy himself because my living room is too small to have an audience watching me!

We're cleaning out drawers ,  nothing else to do on this rainy Sunday...but that is accomplishing something, pitched a bunch of stuff.

Not much else here...Laura I understand that kind of aggravition, yes use next weekend as your vacation.

Nomless I didn't see ANW, it isn't the new one is it?

Ok, that's it for me...have a good one!

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Thread

Hi Everyone!  Quiet day for me doing laundry, grocery shopping, a little housework.  Right now I'm watching "Mister Roberts" on TCM.  I also feel a nap coming on....LOL

It's a beautiful day here by the Bay - supposed to be hotter tomorrow.  I am not looking forward to that.  I am not a hot weather person.  Went to Home Depot yesterday and bought a bigger fan for my living/dining room.  Its not that the area itself is big, but I have high ceilings so need something to move the air around.

Was channel surfing earlier and saw an infomercial on Tai Chi.  I've always been a little interested in that.  Anyone here ever do it?  Any recommendations for some good DVDs?

Hope everyone has a good Sunday!

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Thread

Happy Memorial Day!   I just did Shred again and am stronger than last Monday so that's a good thing.  Woo Hooo for muscle memory!

Partly sunny, and the rain has stopped for today I think!  We have no plans, just laying low. Grass needs mowing but it's too wet yet, I hope this afternoon.

Judy I haven't done tai chi either, have seen it on informecial though.

Not much more here, sweating still so waiting on the shower!

Enjoy your day!

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Thread

Cardio done.  Now watching the Gidget marathon in Antenna TV.  Cute show.

Bopper, the ANM marathon has been 3 (or maybe 4?) days, all day into late night.  It's been on since Sat, maybe started Friday?, And goes until 11 pm tonight.  Several seasons, including the team competition specials have been shown. But, no, not the new season, which starts Wed on mainstream TV.  I've watched BG it's and pieces here and there.

I hope everyone is enjoying the day.  I hope your holiday is a good one.

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Thread

Did my hike yesterday in the 90 degree heat.  I actually enjoyed it and ran into a bunch of deer.  Two held me up while they were munching leaves in the path but I didn't mind.  One looked so skinny I was glad she was eating something.

I thought about maybe going to the short Ride class at 5am today before work but I actually slept 10 hours I was so beat from my weekend.  I think that was more the emotional workout (thanks mom) rather than the physical although I had a good thing going.  I walked 26,796 steps yesterday which was I think my biggest goal so far.

I am getting good at my pushups.  Before I had to stop every 10 but now I am can almost do all 50 in a row.  Still not seeing anything on my triceps though so I better tone up soon.

Hope everyone is having a good start to their normal routine again.  Smiley Happy

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Thread

Hey all, Did another day of Shred, 2 more days on Level 1 and I"m moving to Level 2 which I hear many hate...but you know what...it is what it is, muttle through and just do it!

Laura 90 is major hot, you sure did a great job with all the steps in that heat and glad you enjoyed your hike!   Do you do the full style pushups?  I admire anyone who can do them either way.  I struggle like nobodies business doing them.  In the Shred we start with them and I do them on my knees and can barely do 15, do they get easier?  I don't know, they don't seem to for me!

Judy sorry your are having computer issues.   Mine was weird last week and had it checked and go figure, it worked fine for them!

Nomless I"m looking forward to the new ANW, I did see the one you are saying though on all day.  I can't concentrate that long on anything LOL....but I will want to watch this one and there's another new show following that one, and I can't remember the name.  I want to say Stealth but that isn't it either.

It's mighty cool here, 50 and cold wind.  After shred I walked in shorts and a fleece jacket and my legs were cold.  I just came in from another walk with Logan and my nose was cold like in the winter time!  Geeze hey?  Our next 15 days are only in the low 60's and nights in the 40s   So much for the long range above normal that the weather channel told us.

Have a good day everyone!

Re: Welcome to the May Exercise Thread

@bopper  Knees!!  I do the triceps push ups on my knees like God intended but I do do mostly triangle instead of the regular triceps although I do try and alternate a bit and through some regular ones in.  I think I've only been at it for 3-4 weeks maybe and I can tell I'm definitely stronger since I can do more in a row.  It didn't take long.  Still not showing up like I want on my arms though.

I also am proud to announce that I booked a trip to NYC in late June so I will be free for at least a weekend and that is my mental health update.  Smiley Happy
