Re: Welcome to the March Exercise Check In

Hi everyone, we're on the cold side again. Nothing is really melting. It was only 5 above here this morning. Getting sick of it to say the least!

I am taking today and probably tomorrow off. Just watching a movie right now.

Nomless what you made sounds good. Nice of you to visit the kitty too. I bet she is lonely. Maybe you will win at the casino. I never go to them either.

MickD it's challenging but very doable. I really like it.

FUTURE how are you doing? Hoping the weekend brings you some needed rest.

Pppmint I know your busy cleaning and sorting through stuff. Hope your day goes well.

Waving to all!

Re: Welcome to the March Exercise Check In

Hi everyone! So sorry FUTURE, I know so many people that have passed away lately...so young too. It's hard to understand.

Today is moving day....a whopping 15* so that will be a lot of fun. At least it isn't snowing, it has snowed on and off since we got here. And we don't have heat in the new house so tonight will be interesting...ay.

Bought new flooring and carpeting yesterday but it can't be delivered/installed for two weeks. So we have to move everything in, then it will all have to be moved again...ugh.

Got in some work-outs yesterday but I'm not today, just moving and cleaning...which will be plenty. Went to gym with dil and she ran 4 miles in under 30 minutes. My time wasn't quite that fast...haha.

Won't have wi-fi for a few days so I'm hoping you all have a wonderful week! I need to shower and pack, movers will be here at 9 for the heavier pieces. Cool

Re: Welcome to the March Exercise Check In

Good morning! Patty, lots of good wishes that the move goes smoothly. Cardio is done. This week, I got in 5 hours of exercise. Some of you do that in a day or two (!), but for me that's really good. I'll be relaxing the rest of today.

Re: Welcome to the March Exercise Check In

Hi all, Sunday has come and gone already! We're getting snow and wind...yes I said it!

We had a rather lazy day. Watched Basketball, Baseball, and a Movie...I shoveled a bit and threw some snowballs to Logan.

Pppmint hoping your not too cold in the house...and Lucy does alright! I think your workouts will be carrying boxes back and forth.

Mick D great job on your TG. Yes get used to it and then add it in.

Nomless long cardio sessions are always good.

FUTURE thinking of you and hoping your weekend brought you some rest and peace.

Tony are you here?

We're just watching a movie now actually.

I started our April thread so I wouldn't forget.

Good Night!

Re: Welcome to the March Exercise Check In

Couldn't sleep, so I got up and turned on TV. Found an infomercial for a new program by Jillian Michaels called Bodyshed. Like Body Revolution, the workouts become more difficult as you progress through the program. The structure is the same as before....3 min strength, 2 min cardo, 1 min abs, repeat, then on to another set of exercises, 3 (o 4?) sets of exercises per workout. I googled it and found this interesting but of info: it's been taught in Crunch gyms since 2012 by trainers who have been trained and certified to teach Bodyshred. It looks good and certainly would be effective, but it gets really difficult. I saw some moves I'd never be able to attempt due to my fake hips. So, I'm interested but it might not be a good program for me. It looks harder than Body Rev, and I can do only about 3/4 of that.

Re: Welcome to the March Exercise Check In

Morning, another Monday morning and we are in the 30's.

This morning I did the treadmill for 3 miles inclined.

MickD I havent' seen that informercial. I'll keep my eye out for it. She does moves I can't do either but maybe you could modify them.

Nomless hope your day is going well for you!

Pppmint thinking of you in all this moving stuff. You'll get a lot accomplished today I bet and will finally have the heat on!

FUTURE hi and waving.

Not much going on here, just waiting to go outside without a coat and boots!

Have a good day!

Re: Welcome to the March Exercise Check In

Hey, Bopper, it was me that posted about Jillian's new program, not MickD. Not that it matters, but I didn't want others to think they're not seeing all posts.

I just did some internet research about the intermittent soreness I've been feeling on the bottom of my foot for the past week or so. It sounds like it's a plantar fasciitis issue. Oh, dang. I guess I've already worn out the shoes I got about 6 months ago. And I guess I need to give up the treadmill and maybe even the elliptical for awhile. Dang....just when I was really doing good with longer, faster, and more frequent sessions.....but I guess it's longer, faster and more that have caused the injury.

Some articles say to lay off activity for 8 weeks. Yikes!! Guess I'll be doing bike only for a while.

I'm bummed.
