Re: Welcome to the March Exercise Check In

Happy Monday!!! I know you're thrilled nomless.{#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

Another long night for me, I guess it's just how it's going to be at this stage of life. I met a lady at CF this morning that is going through the same thing...but she can nap which helps her a lot.{#emotions_dlg.glare} She's been off for 3 months because she fell off the bar doing pull-ups and broke her wrist. She also got 18 stitches in her shin doing box-jumps....this lady is beast-mode. Gave us some motivation.

Really good WOD today....I caught my breath during jump-rope...lol. Yes, I'm serious...it was good though. The warm-up today was a work-out in itself but I can tell the rowing is getting a lot easier...strength was doing 5 reps at 90% of our dead-lift max for 15 minutes...then the actual WOD. Always love it when I'm done!{#emotions_dlg.laugh}{#emotions_dlg.thumbup1}

Now I get to go to dentist for Phase 1 of a crown...yay for me!{#emotions_dlg.glare}

Glad you're feeling better today bopper!! {#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

Re: Welcome to the March Exercise Check In

Happy Monday everyone! How is the time change effecting ya'all? I am not too bad but I don't work so that makes a difference too.

I did 2 miles on the treadmill today and 30 minutes on the Total Gym using the Core Cable Flow dvd. Really like the new dvd's. Now want to take Logan for a walk around the neighborhood but he is so terrible walking on a leash it isn't fun at all, rather stressful actually. He barks at everything, pulls and gags himself...I should just keep consistent with it i guess.

Pppmint good luck at your appt and sitting that long...I know you are not a sitter! Sounds like CF was good today too!

Nomless thanks I am feeling myself again...hoping some warmer temps are coming too.

FUTURE how was your weekend?

Tony did you watch the race!

Canine, hi and waving!

Have a great day everyone!

Re: Welcome to the March Exercise Check In

Yes, Patty, it's Monday...ugh. Oh, well, it's all good. It's a sunny day, it's 55, and the birds are singing! Today is the first day they've sung. Nice. Spring is on its way! Good luck with your crown....that's REALLY an UGH!

Hi, Bopper. You had a good workout this morning with more to come if you go walking with Logan. It's so great you like the new DVDs. I'm glad you're feeling better.

A friend just called and asked for my help with something at her house after work. That probably will mean I'll either have a short workout or will miss it altogher.....I'll try to get in something short at least.....I don't feel like taking the day off.

Re: Welcome to the March Exercise Check In

Got a few miles under my belt this morning and I felt pretty darn good. I could 'feel' my leg but not pain, wanted to do 10 but because of that, I cut it a little short. Still good.Cool

DH and I both moaned as we rolled out of be at o'dark-thirty this morning, both of us are pretty sore. My gf said she was moaning and groaning all night long and could barely walk this morning, I'm not that bad but my butt cheeks are. At least we're sore in the right places...the one girl that did her dead-lifts with 230lbs(not her max, did reps with that) yesterday said if your hamstrings and butt cheeks aren't sore but your lower back is, you're doing them wrong. But our coach was all over everyone yesterday checking form which I really appreciate. I like him a lot.

The crown did not go well and I'll leave it at that. Not a good experience...at all. And it may not be over. To top it off, I had to pay almost $600 for it and might have more to go.

Doing chores but need to shower and go run my errands...however, I decided to go for a bike ride first.Cool Have a list a mile long today. Dh flies to Africa on Thursday so I have some things to get/do for his trip.

Hope everyone is having a great day!!

Re: Welcome to the March Exercise Check In

Morning, it was sunny when I got up and now cloudy and 42, but it's still better than what we've had.

Treadmill and TG Cardio/ Strength dvd...good and sweaty and I was pooped. Yesterday I added in 2 walks with Logan...had to get outside in the sunshine.

Pppmint good run this morning. I don't like the dark mornings either. Hoping DH's trip goes well and he gets home soon.

Nomless did you end up working out? I wish all the snow was gone. We have about 3 feet still and the roads are so slushy and messy you have to walk with your boots.

Other than my workout I really have nothin new to say...still 1 car so have no place to go and even if I had a car I really have no place to go Hahah...

Have a great day everyone!

Re: Welcome to the March Exercise Check In

No, Bopper, I missed my workout yesterday. My friend who needed some assistance had a pot of coffee on when I got there, so I stayed awhile. This is the friend who adopted a new cat last fall and has the collie. My friend has done a terrific job acclimating the kitty to her new home and introducing the animals to each other. Collie and cat are now mega-friends. It was fun to see them play together. The kitty was super shy for several months, but she's feeling lots more secure and is much more social. In fact, I think she's going to end up running the household! It was a fun visit.

It's another beautiful day here. I'll get in a workout tonight for sure.

Glad you're feeling OK after your crazy WOD yesterday, Patty. Sorry about your day at the dentist.

OK, back to work....

Re: Welcome to the March Exercise Check In

Morning! Getting ready to head out with Lucy, it's so warm out!!! I hate that it's still so dark though...it was usually light by 6:30.

nomless...sometimes there are things more important than work-outs. I'm sure your friend enjoyed your gift of time. Which makes me feel bad because my gf asked me to go shopping yesterday and I said I was too busy...lol...I just thought of that!

But I was, have a list a mile long and today I have CF, Dermatologist for this stupid cartilage infection that is not responding to the steroid shots, and a few other big errands, then dh flies out tomorrow so have to have this stuff done.

bopper...I meant we were moaning from being sore...lol, we always get up at o'dark-thirty regardless of what time change it is. I took an Epsom salt bath last night which helped. I thought running and biking would stretch me out but it made them worse.

Today's work-out has Wall-balls so I already know it will be rough...Box-jumps are in the circuit too so I can usually recover my breath during those.

Okay...need to hit the pavement. It's already humid!!! {#emotions_dlg.scared} Waving to everyone...where are you??Wink

Re: Welcome to the March Exercise Check In

Hi, everyone. It's another beautiful day today. Bopper, I wish I could send you some! Are you and Logan going for a walk today? It would be nice if he would learn to relax while walking, eh? It sounds like he's a handful to manage when you're out and about. How's DS doing in spring training? He's in the majors full-time now, right?

Patty, it sounds like today will be a crazy one for you and DH. I hope you have some time to sit and relax together with the furkids amongst all the craziness.

I've been neglecting weight workouts, but I enjoy my cardio ones. I should try to do Chalean or something at least a couple of times a week. Today would be a good day to do, I suppose....but I've gotten into the habit of watching news during my workouts; I hate to miss it by putting in a DVD.

I did errands during my lunch hour, as usual, and ran into a ex-co-worker I haven't seen in a couple of years. It was fun to talk with her and catch up on news about other ex-employees....we both keep in touch with different people.

I have no news ... work, eat, sleep (if I'm lucky, LOL), some TV, some reading. That pretty much sums up my days. And cat duty, of course. The cats are always poking me for attention. Literally. It makes me laugh, they're so persistent if I'm busy doing something.

Have a good afternoon, everyone. I hope some of you are getting nice weather, too.
