Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

Patty, Lots of good wishes to Lucy.

My Coco has a UTI, too, first signs shown yesterday, confirmed today. I tried to get the vet's office to just give me the meds, but they wanted to verify that my diagnosis was correct. It was. So now I'll be charged for the office exam and lab even though I knew what the problem was. My regular doc was OOO today, I bet he would have just given me the meds. Oh, well. I'm grateful it's something that's easily dealt with.

Hi, Bopper, enjoy making dinner for dad.

Same here nomless!! They called back and said the vet wanted her brought in to see if she has some life-threatening infection in her uterus. Well I knew she didn't...she isn't that sick, it's obvious it's a UTI. I think had it been our 2 regular vets we see, they would have just let me pick up the antibiotic. They hired a 3rd one and we're not too crazy about him.

So between that and my hair appt, it was a very expensive day! But, like you said, we're just thankful it wasn't something worse.

They're increasing my son's medication so I'm in a big enough dither over that, don't need anything else. {#emotions_dlg.unsure}

Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

Lots of good for DS, too, Patty. I hope your new 'do is a pick-me-up.

I picked up kitty Coco from the vet during my lunch hour and gave her a pill. She was pretty darn angry about the whole thing when I left her, I hope she cools off by the time I get home.

She's funny...most of the time she's a gentle and laid back little kitty. When I leave her at the vet, she starts out OK, but as time goes on she gets angrier and angrier and apparently makes that known to all those around her. Last time, she was growling when I picked her up and she growled the whole way home. I had never heard her growl before. When I dropped Coco off this morning, I explained to the vet tech that Coco starts out happy, but.... and the vet tech finished my sentence: "She gets mad, yes, I remember." She was there last time Coco had to be left, and she remembers Coco and the commotion she caused. Oh, my, I wish I could see what goes on. When the vet called this morning with the test result, she said they deliberately saw Coco early, so they could deal with her before she got mad. Too funny. This tiny mild-mannered little prissy miss of a kitty apparently loses her patience and lets everyone know. Today Coco growled quietly while they got my bill ready, but once we were in the car, no more growling.

Too funny nomless!! Our cat, Kat, is the opposite, they said she starts out surly but after a while she figures she doesn't have it too bad...they pet her, feed her, provide entertainment, etc.

But then she's mad at me when she gets home...never dh, even when he's the one that took her! LOL!!

Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

Hi, all! Vet for our dogs, too. Grooming and test/vaccinations racked up over $200, then went furniture shopping with hubby for his birthday to outfit his man cave. Omg $$$$$$$!!!!! Anyway........ Smiley Wink My birthday is in a few months, so I've got mine coming! Lol!! No WO today, but it carried a lot of boxes up and down the stairs moving things here and at the office. I was sweating and my hair was getting flat before I'd even sat down at my computer. Lol! Hubby and I have some stuff to do tonight around the house, and I'm going to try to do yard work tomorrow, so not sure about spin. I'll see how I feel. It's been a busy week.....ok, enjoy the start to your weekend, all!

Nomless, our little boy pup was fine in the car until I turned down the road the vet is on. Then he started whining. They are both super sweet, but they HATE us leaving them there. They weren't quite as mad at us this time. Usually they give us the stink eye for a good hour or two when we get up. But I bribed them with this moist food that they LOOOOVEEE when we came home. Mama's got some tricks up her sleeve.......Smiley Wink

Our furkids and rhe vet, always an adventure. Future, they never forget, do they? A short cardio workout at only 35 min but at least I showed up. TGIF....out office move is mostly done, just some small stuff remaining. Coco is now lovey with me,but she'smad at Shadow. Heck, he didn't even have anything to do with it!

Re: Welcome to the June Exercise Thread

Raining again so no bike ride this morning...wanted to do a long one on the W&OD trail one last time. We've had a lot of rain so far...hoping it clears up so all my furniture doesn't get wet next week.

I'm so sore...yay!!! My back muscles are all sore, nothing works better than pull-ups...you use muscles you didn't even know you had!

Macy's was having a great sale yesterday, wish I would have had more time to shop but had to get to hair appt. Don't need a dern thing though so it was probably best.

Getting ready to work-out after I finish this load of laundry and then we'll get cracking on sorting and packing.

My gf's teased me because they said I'm bringing more jewelry, clothes and shoes with me than most people even own...I just keep adding to it!{#emotions_dlg.rolleyes} It could be a long time before we get our house-hold goods so I have to be prepared.

Okie-dokie...I think we're going to run in the rain...I can't do this spin bike for any length of time...feel like a hamster on the wheel.
