I am actually sore from Power and Pound yesterday.
I am off to vacation #1 tomorrow. I am going home to the Northeast. I am having pizza (maybe every day) because they don't know how to make it down here except for the real Italians at Epcot so I have to have my fill. I may also not be above a Hershey run although I try very hard to stay away from sugar. Once you get off of it, it's like an addict when you have some and then try and stop again. On second thought, maybe not.
I will also be attending a NY Times talk with the cast of Orange which I am so excited about! Real actors talking about their show. How cool! I get excited about things like that. Down here unless you are into country music and/or preachers, we just don't get that kind of arts culture.
I also get to go visit the best bookstores and we'll also see what kind of shows are half off. My exercise will be walking NYC and Central Park so it's not all a lost cause.

Bopper, I haven't seen many of the Halsrton shows. I'll check out the TSV
I was awake until 3:30 last night and woke up a 6. Way tired now but will make myself go do a workout.

Hi all, just giving a quick read to see all the ladies are working your bodies and hanging in there which is good to read. I guess our Patty has left the building just hope she and here family are doing well especially little Lucy the little charmer. Well, ladies I've hit a real slump not only in my exercise but in my general mood and outlook. So, while you all are inspiring me to want to exercise, mood-wise I just can't get the motivation up or get myself going to do it. Think with all the back, hip, elbow problems I've been having, I just feel out of it. I'm not used to having problems like this and its beyond frustrating and annoying. The days I feel good I'm almost afraid to work out for fear that it'll cause something to be unhappy and act up and then on the days when something hurts, I'm afraid to work out for fear it'll make it worse. It's a vicious cycle and one I need to get over. Anyway, I'm so happy for all of you that can stick with an exercise routine, you really do inspire me and give me hope that I can shake these doldrums eventually and get back on the wagon.

@JudyL I was exactly where you were in February. I had tantrums in the middle of the night in tears from hurting and just pure frustration. It was one of the hardest things I had to do but you just have to stop cold from the exercising, let your body heal, and just concentrate on making sure you are eating as clean and healthy as you can since you're off the exercise wagon for a bit.
It took me months and I'm still not 100%. In fact, I just went back to my first Power class this week in I don't know how long. And I hurt! But I gave my body the rest it needed and while I didn't snap right back I did get on the road to where I could function again in about a month.
This is around the time I just started walking in the park. If you have anything like that or even around the block at night, it really did help just to have some me time and I was able to exercise a bit without really hurting myself too much.
You'll get through it and these ladies and this thread were very instrumental in getting me there. With your big trip coming up, rest and heal now so you can get going again when you need to. And you will. You'll be okay. ![]()

Workout done. Laura, I know...less than 3 hours of sleep isn't enough for me. I don't know why I couldn'the sleep.
Judy, just take it easy for a while. When you feel like it, do easy workouts. Rest when you neeed to, don't push too hard.
@cater, thanks for checking in. Its good to see you. I miss Patty, too, and hope she and her family and Lucy are doing well.

Laura and Nomless - thank you so much for your support and encouraging words. Walking is a good idea Laura and think I may at least try and do that a few days a week. I have a nice park nearby that has a walking/biking trail along the water. At least then I'd feel like I was doing something, even if I didn't go far.
This sucks. LOL But it's nice to know I have all you ladies in my corner! Thank you so much for putting up with my whining and boo-hooing.

Hi, this morning I didn't do my day 7 of Shred, I know, I didn't do it but....I did do Jillians No More Trouble Zones, about 50 minutes long and it was hard and I did all of it, modified some things because of my knees but it was a sweaty workout and quite a bit of floor work which I like. I may alternate that with Ripped in 30.
Laura glad you are going on vacation, sounds like you have a lot lined up. Please keep us posted and glad you got in a class also. Thank you to for the item no. I have to go look at it.
Judy we all have been in that boat, like Laura says or maybe it was nomless just go around the block, it's something and the fresh air will stimulate you and make you feel good about yourself. We're here though for you even for your entertainment Hahha
cater, how the heck are ya! Glad you popped in, like I said we are entertaining! Trying to motovate you to get back at it. It's not easy by any means. Like do you think I feel like getting out of my pj's and jumping around with weights and Jillian saying , " I want you to feel like your going to die".. hahaha Not really!!
Nomless i think the Halston line is pretty nice and not too expensive, well some of it is but the LOGO line is outragious.
Ok I better get ready to roll, my granddaughter has a softball game at 5:30.
