Yay, @DrKelli, what a great day you had!!!! It's awesome you had one on one time with Louie and that he encouraged you to go to the cert class. You'll be glad in the end. Very proud of you!!! Way to go!!!!!

Ohhh, @DrKelli, Look. At. You!! Exercising with a star! Something outstanding to put in your memory bank. It was so nice of him to take time to pose and talk with you. I'm going to repeat....Ohhhh!
Around midmorning, I started doing my chair exercises. About ten minutes into it, I decided to do not just knee raises but slow kicks outward to as straight as I could get it even though it hurt. ( I had physical therapy once). I'd do this a few times and stop before doing it again. One of the times I lifted my leg straight, I heard and felt a noise in the back of my knee where most of the pain was. I thought..."Now you've done it". But amazingly, the pain was almost gone after that. By afternoon, it's normal....my normal.
So my theory is that overworking it Tuesday was a separate problem from this morning. I sleep with my right knee on a small travel size pillow so that my leg won't remain straight all night. I think that during my sleep, my leg came off the pillow and was in a bad position for a long period of time, making it lock up and unable to easily bend and very painful. Whatever the reason, I hope it's over with. The full sized pillow gets in the way of my other leg but I might go back to using that.
Thanks everybody for the well wishes.

Rise and shine everybody. Say hello to this beautiful day! I woke up feeling great! No extra knee issues and the scale looked good.
I'm going to carefully do a senior cardio class and maybe a two mile walk. I haven't made up my mind about the WW walkathon tomorrow. Weatherwise, it's going to be a great day for it though.....in the seventies.
Have a good day.....

@Mmsfoxxie, yay that your knee issue seems to have resolved itself. So glad it's feeling better. Glad you will be careful in class, nonetheless. Best to be sure it's ok before you work it hard. Enjoy your day. ☺

Hi everyone! We've moved and I think today is the 1st day in over 30 days we don't have some place to be or a hundred things to do and I'm not exaggerating. Yesterday we signed the final contract for the house so hopefully things will slow down a little bit while it's being built. We did the blue-prints all in one week(and many tweaks), and last week I picked out everything you could imagine for a house..from the regular stuff like countertops, brick, stone, cabinets, doors, flooring, lights, etc...to gutters, doorbell, and chime. We went from appt to appt...it was so overwhelming all at once, my head was spinning! So after all this and 30+ years of military life and moving all over, we're ready to settle down!
nomless, bopper wrote and told me your cat was sick because she knew Kit was too at the same time. I don't see anything here but probably didn't go back far enough. We got here and thought Kit was acting strange...of course a move is very stressful on animals so we assumed it was that, but after 3 or 4 days I told Rob "I think something else is wrong, I'm taking her in"...long story short, 2 vet trips, ICU hospital stay, and $3,400 later, she's doing better but is on daily bp meds. Her bp was so high it detached her retinas and she went blind. We were sick about it...still bothers me. But she's doing much better than they ever anticipated and she's gained back some of her sight. How is your kitty doing now??
DH starts work at a private university on Monday so he only has 3 days to relax after 2 months of insane crazy...wanted a little getaway for some good hiking but with so much going on, it never happened. We're living with the kids during building process so hope it goes by quickly. Love them dearly but it still isn't easy to live with another family even though they're loving it and treat us very well...said we could stay here forever. It is fun though, I've been able to work-out with my dil and got her her first set of gel nails, met my son for lunch, go to church together and out to lunch, etc. We'll probably still see each other every day even after we move out...or most days anyway.
Looks like everyone is doing well...trying to keep this short but hard to do when you haven't been on for months..lol. Waving to everyone and hope you all enjoy your weekend! Weird week with the 4th...threw me off. Doesn't take much! ![]()

Hey all, we had terrible storms late yesterday afternoon into the evening, and it was thundering, sunny, lightening, rolling clouds, double rainbows, windy, hail..it was weird. That brought in the cold front, 87 yesterday and 64 now so I have the windows all open to air out the house.
Got a new cell phone and had to have everything moved over and of couse some glitches but I think its all resolved now, then I get a brain fart and can't remember simple passwords and stuff and I didn't have them with me....
DrKelli congratulations and how cool! Proud of your accomplishements!
Foxxie glad your knee was okay. Seems I hear clicking and popping too, hips and knees.. Sounds nice there, 70's is perfect
Nomless Shadow is better right?
Lucy how nice to see your post and I know I speak for us all! I'm so glad everything is going well for you considering what you had to go through to get to this point. I can just imagine all the critters in one living space, lol....pretty crazy! The time will go fast though and you'll be in your home before you know it.
Almost noon already, I feel like the morning went fast and I was in town running around. Dad had a dr appt. yesterday and dr. said he's in great shape, and not to come back until the Fall for his Flu shot. He said his BP is very good, weight good, heart sounded good, and to keep up all his activity. For someone turning 90 in December he's doing well.
Adios everyone!

Just peeking in to say hi! I'll read everyone's posts later in the afternoon.
I am doing strength training today and tomorrow, one of my friends from elementary school and I are doing The Bubble Run. It's exactly as it sounds--sort of like the Color Run, only with bubbles. We don't run, we walk, but it is time we get to spend together, getting a little exercise and catching up on all the gossip. They had bubbles in one of the obstacles at the mud run last year and as I recall, you do get pretty sticky when the bubbles dry.
I hope you all have a great weekend!

@DrKelli You go girl, with your cute self! You look awesome!
@Mmsfoxxie I hope your knee continues to heal!
@Iluvlucy Congrats on the home build...what an exciting time in your life! I am praying for your sweet kitty...poor thing.
TGIF everyone! Wanted to go on a run with DS but very hot....103. Will try tomorrow!

Rest day for me. I told myself when I started exercising again that I wouldn't do the same thing that I've done in the past - go great guns at the beginning. When I do that, I either burn out and crash exhausted after a couple weeks or I end up hurting something, somewhere. So this time I'm starting out slower. Will work out tomorrow. We'll see if the 4 days I worked out this week makes a difference on the scale when I go to WW tomorrow morning - I'll take even a few ounces! LOL
@Iluvlucy - congrats on the house!
@Mmsfoxxie - YEA! for no knee pain! I know how nice that is. Take it easy tho and good luck with your WW weigh-in.
Take care everyone!

@Iluvlucy, it's good to see you again. Congrats on the move, the house plans, and DH's new job. I hope he loves it and that life calms down for you guys now that you're in a place where you know you will stay put. It must be a relief to have many questions / options settled.
I'm so sorry to hear about Kit and her loss of eyesight. ☹ I hope she can adapt ok. She and you have had a rough road. My kitty is doing ok.....he's lost a lot of weight and we don't know why. We suspected the onset of renal failure because he's getting old, but renal function is good. He seems to feel ok. So now we just wait and see what happens. He always is eager to eat when I give him wet food, and kibble is always available to him but I don't think he eats much of it. Teeth are ok. It's a mystery.
Has Lucy adjusted ok after the move? Is she willing to share her space more people and furkid? I hope she's well and happy.
