Great morning to you all....even though most of us seem to be having crappy weather. I dint go out yesterday since it was very humid and rainy. At least the high winds didn't come back. Stormed for a short time last night, too. At least we didn't get flooding like others so I won't complain.
oh, dear, it's hard for me to remember what everybody wrote about but I know everyone was basically during fine.
Senior cardio today and maybe some walking. Have a good day.

Morning, it's going to be warm and humid here too but not as hot as most of you are having. I guess storms for the weekend too.
Not sure the plan today, maybe Pilates, maybe outside walk but I"d have to go soon before it's too sunny out.
Gals if you go below your reply box it says "view discussion in popup" that allows you to see what everyone else has said so you can reply. It does come up however in another tab so you have to toggle between the 2 but if you want you can do that. I do prefer the old way but that's long gone.
Stay cool everyone!

Happy Friday everyone! Humid as heck out this morning...I went out at 5:30 to get it out of the way and I think it's more humid then as the sun dries up some of the humidity. Will do some Total Gym too.
Mmsfoxxie..horrible storms back home Wed night, even a couple of tornados. Lots of damage. Glad you're enjoying your Red Hats...go with a chicken breast or fish and veggies if you can't figure out the menu, restaurants are always willing to make special dishes nowadays. Or have them make you a special salad...that's what I have to do with my disorder I have since there is so much I can't eat.
DrKelli...yes, terriers are comical. We had a Schnauzer and they have similar personalities. DS and DIL have a Westie and he's a trip too. Love them all! I'm taking both of their boys to the groomers later this afternoon. Lucy went on Monday.
nomless...I love Historical Fiction, it's what I read most. DH is reading John Adams right now along with some book about business. I'm reading Before We Were Yours by Lisa Wingate(really good, about an orphanage in TN that used to kidnap kids and sell them to wealthy people) and Upstairs At the White House: My Life With The First Ladies(very interesting).
bopper...you can't get the sale prices early in the store either without a card...at least not supposed to, some places are more strict than others. So did they figure out what your dad has if they found a medication to work??
Yesterday I did the bleachers at the high school here...whew...they were hot! That was a good work-out..would do the loop around the track to catch my breath and push-ups and dips, then back to the stairs. I need to do that more often.
You okay MickD and Judy? Hope I didn't miss you if you posted.
I'm trying to decide if I should run down to Nordstrom's today at Ross Park Mall or wait for my last box...don't want to have to go twice. Tomorrow we meet with two pool companies and have to do the car registrations so won't have time...then Sundays are always busy.

Hi everyone! Yep--another hot day here in Denver. I'm wearing shorts at work today (I LOVE this place. Last year, the CEO sent out an email that Fridays were shorts days and to kick it off, he was following the new policy). I have been wearing skorts every other day I am at the corporate office and people just think they are skirts. Until I flash them LOL!
So it's official, my gym is doing a Dance Fever sampler (I suggested the name--it was that or "I've Got Rhythm" or "Enchantment under the Sea" (from Back to the Future--cracks me up). There will be 3 different dance fitness samples, including LaBlast (which I will be teaching). That is about 3 songs, maybe 4. I've decided on Disco, slow Jive and Viennese Waltz because they are so different than Zumba. Or I could do Disco, Paso Doble and Viennese Waltz (or slow Jive). I'm keeping another swing song in my back pocket just in case there is time. If I were teaching you--what would be YOUR choice?
I'm boxing today, so I will be a sweaty mess coming back to the office. I'm headed to New Mexico next week for 3 days to visit one of our plants. Because of the stupid airline schedule, I will really only be there one full day and a couple hours on Wednesday. Since my home is on the same side of town as the airport, I'm just going to leave to the airport from my house rather than drive downtown on Monday. I get to sleep in a bit if I do that.
After last weekend, I'm not doing much this weekend, except cleaning house for the dog sitter. I cleaned my carpets on Wednesday night (with 2 dogs, your own carpet cleaner is a MUST), so I just need to dust, clean the bathrooms and run the vacuum again. I'll change the sheets on Monday before I leave. I'm also going to start choreographing my routines for Dance Fever so I can start practicing them.
I hope you all have a fantastic day and weekend!

Hi everyone! Sounds like ya'll are busy!
@bopper Wow a buffalo! How cool is that?!?!?!
I got my run in on the treadmill...2.9mi/35 min. I still have a headache and slight earache. Hot and humid. The guys are supposed to do rebar today but they're not even here yet..must be travelling from LA.....oh well! They're used to working in the hot sun!
TGIF!!!!!!!!!

@bopper, I tried that when you mentioned it before but what I need is to be able to have my reply box open, ready for me to respond and still scroll up to everybody's post. I get what you're saying though. The way QVC has this set up...you can only see one post at a time. Unless I'm doing something wrong??

Good morning, ladies. Boy did it storm last night! The rain was heavy and the lightening lit up the whole house several times. Scary! We have a lot of trees close to the house. Thank God there was no power failure cause that would mean the sump pump would stop working. Still rsiningbthis morning but not as badly. The official measurement for my little village is 3.50. This is the third heavy rain this week so the ground is saturated.
Oh, boy. @DrKelli, you get the award for being the most busy this month, lol. I think it's usually @Mick or @Iluvlucy.
If the rain stays fairly light, I'll go to my Zumba class. I have to wonder about flooded areas or even if the fitness center is ok. Pictures on tv are horrible.
Stay dry everyone.

Hello everyone, Saturday it is! It's hazy here, and humid. We are getting smoke from Canada's wildfires.
I'll do Pilates today and not sure what else. My bottom is a little sore from my bike ride yesterday so not doing that.
Lucy sounds like a busy weekend, yes I know you have to have a card to get the sale prices but fun to look anyways. Thank you for asking about my dad. Yes he has a seizure disorder very common in the elderly, ( can't remember the name) but it's been 14 weeks now free of them so we are thankful this medicine is working. He was given the option to try it before but he didn't want too because he was afraid of the side effects but then thought about it more and we visited the dr. and he decided he'd try. Only had side effects for about 10 days and now seems so much better. I pray every day it continues.
MickD yes the buffalo are cool. It's a farm where they raise them along with goats and pigs.
foxxie I understand what your saying too. It's not too convenient to toggle between 2 tabs, 1 with my reply box and the other with what everyone said. It sure was easier the old way wasn't it. We may get some strong storms later today, I'll keep my eyes peeled so I can bring in my lawn chair so they don't blow away.
DrKelli your class sounds so fun, I hope you get a lot of folks. Do they sign up early so all the spots get filled? My son said it's really hot in CO too, and my DIL is 7 months pregnant which isn't fun when it's so hot and humid. She's starting to get the swollen feet and hands. He's about 45 minutes from the airport and uses the Ubber to get to and from rather than taking his vehicle or getting a ride. Until we visited CO I didn't even know about Ubbers, LOL. I'm a country gal, and will remain Hahaha
I have been getting fall catalogs in the mail and its my favorite time of year. I don't want summer done as we only have had about 3 weeks where it's actually felt like summer but I sure do enjoy looking at the fall stuff. Is it wrong to put out some decor even though we are in summer ( just because I enjoy looking at it)
Well guess I better get something done here, Saturday is my lazy day! Enjoy!

Bopper, I'm happy to hear your dad is ok. That's great news.

Happy Sunday everyone, today may be a rest day for me or an active rest day so to speak.
foxxie you asked about my mens shoes, I don't find them any different than womens other than wider toe box and I've been wearing them for 2 months and they are working better than any womens shoes I've tried, not sore toes. Not as cute as womens though but I guess when I'm working out walking and such does it really matter if they are "cute"...they are blue and gray so not bad. I have some pink Fila shoes I wear just to kick around.
I went out to get my Sunday paper with Logan and it's so quiet in the neighborhood. Of course I had to look around before I stepped out in my pajamas. Our paper box is out on the street, across across the street so I hurried Hahaha
Not much new here since I posted yesterday and I couldn't sleep so got up early. Hubby has been gone with my oldest son to a softball tournament and they are winning every game so I'm excited for them. And cool that my hubby is catching at age 62 and my son is pitching at age 37 so quite the duo!
Coffee time, enjoy the day!
