Re: Welcome to the July Exercise Check In

No workout because the vet called and I needed to go pick up meds for kitty Coco. That's one thing off my mind.

Re: Welcome to the July Exercise Check In

Not to belabor a topic, but.....(I'm going to anyway! LOL.)

I was thinking...at some point ANW will get canceled, and then what about the athlete's who have built their lives around training for it? How disappointing it will be for them. Many will probably want to compete in something similar, but what? Where? I wonder if someone other than NBC would sponsor an annual ANW-type event.

Re: Welcome to the July Exercise Check In

nomless, I hope you feel better today, I think we all have those days. I'm soooo cranky today, even dh is cracking up about it. I can't even get into everything that has happened today...lol! And that time of the month to boot!{#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

We were watching ANW last night and dh said, "When I get my shoulder fixed, we're going to train for ANW". I said, "Um, we're not doing anything, but you do what you got to do"...haha. That ship has sailed for this girl!Wink{#emotions_dlg.laugh} I'll cheer him on. Yes, way to go Kacy!{#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

Anyway, I ran Lucy a mile this morning then went to the gym...ended up having a really good work-out. Did upper body with weights but combined a couple of Cross-fit moves with it like Snatches. I was sweating and my arms felt pumped...just have to keep it up.

Then I ran a 1/2 of a mile at 7:48 min mile and walked a half of a mile at a 12 min mile. Then finished it off with the rope pull.

Went to Mt. Trashmore(it was on Biggest Loser one time) and did some cardio there while dh was at Physical Therapy but I had Lucy with me and it was just too hot...for both of us, so nothing to write home about. It's that kind of hot where it's just stupid to do too much.

Re: Welcome to the July Exercise Check In

Patty, I laughed at your declining to attempt Ninja training. LOL. You work plenty hard as it is! I watched Kacy again. So proud of her.

I'm feeling a little better today, but not 100%. We have a gorgeous COOL day here. It's mid 70's, very unusual for July. I'm grateful for the beautiful day.

I had a bit of a tussle with Coco when I gave her her pill this morning, but it was my fault not hers. She didn't get mad at me though. LOL.

Tonight I'll do a walk. Gosh, I've been putting off weights again. Gotta get back into weights. But not tonight.

Judy, I've been thinking about you. Your trip is very soon, isn't it? Let us know.

Bopper, shopping today?

Hi, Future and Tony and all our friends. Hope your day is going well.

Re: Welcome to the July Exercise Check In

Morning!! I'm in a much better mood today even though I woke up at 4:30 and couldn't fall back to sleep. I was so irritated yesterday, everyone got on my nerves...lol! My gf's tried to get me to go to Book Club last night and I told them, "Really, you don't want me in public today". Wink{#emotions_dlg.laugh}

I had a good run this morning...yay!! Best longer run since we've been here. I know not doing as many junk miles makes for better quality miles...need to focus on quality over quantity...at least until I get in better shape.

It's 95% humidity out...at least it was. I can't wait for Fall...but it comes late here. {#emotions_dlg.glare}

Had to share what popped up on my feed, ironic since I basically just typed the same thing! It's a sign.Wink{#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

Working Out For Less Time Burns More Fat

That’s right. You don’t need to exercise for an hour at a time to get in a good fat-burning workout. You can actually get better results with shorter but more intense workouts.

Studies have shown that high intensity interval training burns more total fat than endurance training even when you burn less overall calories. Focus more on the quality of your workouts than the quantity.

Re: Welcome to the July Exercise Check In

Hi all, grocery day was today nomless haha..changed days on ya! Then I came home and put it all away and walked 3 miles outside and then came back and got Logan and did another mile with Mr. Bark Happy {#emotions_dlg.crying} I tell ya if there was nobody on the street he'd be fine but people, other dogs whether they are inside their own house or outside in their yards he's terrible...kids on bikes, cars....he pulls and hacks and won't listen....It was not relaxing..

Mick D good job on the treadmill!

Pppmint sounds like you had a very good run this morning and today is better than yesterday haha... Is Lucy behaving herself today?

Nomless good job.... Did you see that little girl do the whole thing on ANW? She was a little bitty thing and short and she climbed that wall like nothing...

Waving to all!
