Re: Welcome to the January Exercise Thread

Morning all, snowing lightly here this morning but it's pretty out.

I did the treadmill this morning and my Total Gym without the cable, lower body and abs...

Going to lunch with my son today and will try and get my trail walk in with Logan or at least the neighborhood (pending Mr. Logan behaves) Wink

Happy Martin Luther King Day today! I am not sure if we have school today...my GD said she didn't have school so maybe not.

Judy so happy to see you. Think of you often as well and your wonderful trips to Africa..glad your BF is coming to see you and also on the grandchild hopefully soon. Being a grandma is such a wonderful thing... {#emotions_dlg.tt1}

Pppmint so glad hubby got home after a long tiring trip. That Lucy, she sure does find the stuff to put in her mouth....glad she is better though. That's all you would need! I see a salt bath on the horizon for you! {#emotions_dlg.laugh}

nomless are you still liking your Tony dvd's? Did you see Rosalie Brown has new dvd's for the TG? I asked her if you can get them separately and she said next month we can so I"ll pick those up.

Well I better get showered and Purtied up for my lunch date!

Have a wonderful day!

Re: Welcome to the January Exercise Thread

Horrible. I hated today and my poor gf came today for her first time..I told her to give it two weeks and if she still doesn't like it, she can quit. Not like she's out a ton of money or anything(she is doing the 1-month trial special they have going).

Anyway, I'm not feeling too cocky today. It was just terrible and I'd be lying to say anything different. I didn't feel good at one point and the coach told me to breath deep twice to get my heart-rate back down...um, seriously??? Two deep breaths were not going to get my heart-rate back down at that point.{#emotions_dlg.glare}

Whatever, I did it and that's an accomplishment because there was one point where I thought I was done and no way was I going to finish without passing out.

I need to get groceries. Have fun on your lunch-date bopper!

Have a great day everyone...waving to all. Judy! So happy to see you!!!

Re: Welcome to the January Exercise Thread

Good afternoon everyone, ?? its a bright sky here. Feeling better, although I feel the shots are beginning to wear off a little bit. The fall I took I believe I was lucky and I wasn't hurt. Bopper you make me hungry for split pea soup, yummm. Glad your DH made it home PpprMintPatty and your poor GF sounds like She's having a tough time. For you too!" Maybe you both need a break. Nomless, is it warm where you are? Gosh you washed your car!" Good for you, my car needs to be washed, for sure. Oh PpprMintPatty, so glad Lucy's fine, CHLOE has a cough all weekend too so I ran 2 cold humidifiers because of such dry air. I hope that's all it is. Our poor furry tots. Bopper, enjoy your lunch date with your son. I think I'll do some artwork today, and I'm getting hungry, all this pea soup made me hungry all of a sudden lol. Smiley Happy BLESSING to all.

Re: Welcome to the January Exercise Thread

Happy Monday, everyone. Wow, the weekend went by fast!

Judy! It's good to see you. How exciting that DBF will be visiting this spring. As I recall, you'll also go visit him later in the year, too. How fun to have so things to plan and look forward to.

Patty, yea that Lucy is OK and DH is home. It's not often that a w/o does you in. I hope you're feeling better this afternoon.

Hi, Bopper, enjoy lunch with DS. Good to know there are new TG DVDs. Rosalie does a good job.

Hi, Maggie, it's a sunny warm (mid-50's) day here. Glad you have sun, too. It's brightens up our mood, ya know? It will get colder throughout the week, but it will still be above freezing, so it won't be too bad. I hope you're feeling OK.

Hi to Future and Tony and Cater and all our friends.

I'm still liking the Tony w/o's. I'll do a resistance (sculpt) w/o tonight. I've been watching Apprentice on Monday nights, but Joan R. is on as a judge tonight, and it would make me sad, so I probably will skip tonight.

I told you I washed my car on Saturday, and I kept it in the garage all weekend. This morning driving to work, it was sunny and clear.....except for one gray cloud above me that was spitting a little rain. Gosh, I couldn't believe it. It messed up my clean car a little, but not too badly. Dang that cloud!

Re: Welcome to the January Exercise Thread

Hi, all!! Sorry I've been MIA. Jan has NOT slowed down for us :-/ lets seeeeee...... Saturday was spin and weights, went and saw American Sniper with hubby (SO good! I bawled at the end), and errands and junk around the house - the usual Smiley Wink Yesterday was church and walking the pups, then laundry and a NAP! Yay!! Today was work, errands, cooking dinner (bean & veggie soup in the crock pot), walked the dogs for about 30 mins, treadmill before my class at the gym, then Body Pump. You. Guys. It was nuts tonight. I thought my legs were going to go out from under me. My heart was pounding. I am soaking in salts AS WE SPEAK! And I still probably won't be able to walk tomorrow! Bopper, hope things will warm up for you guys! It was in the 50s here today, but might snow later this week. Smiley Wink Nomless, so glad you're still liking Tony!!! Maggie, glad you are feeling better -- NO MORE falls!! Smiley Wink Patty, glad DH made it. 48 hours awake and traveling is not my idea of a good time,,,,,,,,:-/ Ok, I need to dry off and hit the sack. I haven't slowed down since 5 am, and it's all catching up with me! Night night!

Re: Welcome to the January Exercise Thread

Hey all, up and running today. I got half of my chores finished already so hope I keep this up.

We went to American Sniper last night too FUTURE, it was pretty good. We liked Lone Survivor better but it was good. I guess since it's our reality and lifestyle, it wasn't any big shock for me.

I'm not as sore as I thought I'd be and I didn't have time for my salt soak yesterday. I showered so I could go shopping and get groceries before the movie. I didn't even think about it last night.

I have a crown replacement today at the dentist, will run this morning. It's windy out again. Also have to stop at Credit Union to do another fraud claim for money the thieves took out of our account...long story...lol.

We watched Celebrity Apprentice last night too Nomless, missed the very beginning because we took Lucy out for an evening stroll.

maggie...hope Chloe is better!

bopper...I forgot about stuff being closed for MLK day...was going to do credit union report yesterday but couldn't.

I survived Fran(wod) and it's a good feeling...I can do this!{#emotions_dlg.thumbup1} I can't wait to do it again in a month and compare my times.

Re: Welcome to the January Exercise Thread

Hey all, well guess what? We have SUN and BLUE sky!!!!!!! Yip, yip, yip............eeeeee {#emotions_dlg.thumbup} I did the treadmill and took Logan out on a walk...He's a trip....he barked I bet for an entire block because he heard other dogs barking ( inside their houses) mind you!

DS Left again so It always makes me sad but he'll be back in a few weeks...leaves early March for Spring Training...and then I know he'll be gone a long time..but doing what he loves makes us happy too.

I think I have my GD on Friday again after school, so we always have fun...

FUTURE sorry your January is so hectic but your getting a lot done too...I am jealous of those in the 50's...we had 3 above this morning and I bet with the clear skies we'll be below zero tonight.

Maggie glad your on the mend and hoping Chloe is Okay....we sure worry when our babies aren't right.

Nomless I watched Apprentice too, I laugh at the ladies with their "claws" out...my goodness.

Pppmint hoping your not too sore today...you did hit the floor running...great job on the workout...hoping you have some time today for your Salt bath and some deserving relaxation.

Okay need to get my dinner ready...have a good night everyone!

Re: Welcome to the January Exercise Thread

Gosh, where did today go? It's already the end of my workday. I'll do a Tony workout when I get home.

Bopper, I'm so happy you have sun and blue sky. Nice, isn't it? I watched only the last 5 minutes of the Joan's Apprentice episode, and then I watched the second one.

Hi, Future, what a crazy busy life you lead!

Patty, I hope the crown fits {#emotions_dlg.biggrin} and that things go OK at the CU. What a mess to get straightened out, eh? I'm sure Lucy and the other furkids are enjoying having Daddy home. I haven't seen American Sniper, but know of his story. Gosh. There are no words.

Time to head home...yippee!!

Posting to get this back to the top, after it was buried by the troll who bumped old threads to the top. Wish Q would delete those posts.

Re: Welcome to the January Exercise Thread

Hi nomless, I guess I missed something! Will have to look.

I canceled my dentist appt...had too much going on which I won't get into on here, but it would not have been a good day for me to get that done.

My gf was amazing today, she did her back squat at 145lbs...now keep in mind she is only 5'2", this is only her 3rd week, and she wasn't doing anything(as far as weights/squats go) except running here and there before she joined. She kept racking the plates on and we couldn't believe it, she'd go down and pop back up like it was easy! She was pumped!{#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

And then there was me...lol. I had my back twinge today which I expected was coming(that time of the month, which always happens because of my fibroids) so I was very aware and paid close attention to my back...I got to 105 and it twinged a little so I was done adding more weight and even removed some. I did complete the WOD but I went with a low weight for my KB swings and didn't go as fast as I normally do.{#emotions_dlg.unsure}{#emotions_dlg.glare}

Took Lucy out this morning and she had a slug in her mouth. I don't know what to do with this girl...EVERYTHING goes in her mouth, yet she's fussy about her food...go figure!{#emotions_dlg.glare}{#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

I got some groceries after CF and decided to buy the entire 'no salt or preservatives added' turkey breast...um, a little bit of sticker shock when I looked down and saw $32!!! {#emotions_dlg.scared} Think I need to join Costco, I know they're cheaper there.

Tomorrow is a busy day....have CF, another Memorial/Funeral luncheon to work, a meeting with our financial adviser, and a party tomorrow evening.

Hope everyone is enjoying their day! {#emotions_dlg.thumbup} bopper...hope ds made it safely!
