Hello,
I am new to this thread and am glad I found it.
I restarted my exercise program in March after some lag time. I have always done some walking via taking my dog out for a walk but it was not exactly brisk. I started with the bodygym and really liked it and wanted to add some cardio so I went back to jogging. I really don't know the distance, I tend to go more by my watch and went from 15 minutes initially now up to 30. I used to be pretty athletic (o.k. about a decade ago) so it is nice to get back to it.
I hope everyone has a good day!

Hi Gayle, welcome. Thanks for joining in. We have lots of fun chatting about what we're doing.
Bopper, I hope your dad is OK. That's so scary. I hope he's getting good care. Hugs and prayers for you and your dad and family. Love the pretty fawn. So sweet.
Laura, you do rock. Good job! You, too, Judy. I hope you figured out how to do the tricep exercise.
Cardio done. Time to think about making something for dinner.

Welcome Gayle! I came back to the group recently - had been away for a while - so it's good to have another newcomer. I started exercising again in March also. I do PiYo, some TurboJam, and supplement with the BodyGym for extra upper body work. The PiYo is harder than I thought it would be so I incorporated the TurboJam and BodyGym for things I can't do with the PiYo program.
This is a great group. We encourage, support, and inspire each other to get up and get moving at whatever pace is best for that person. Sounds like you're doing great with your jogging.
Join in when you can. It's always good to hear what other people are doing. In fact, there are a couple other women who also use the BodyGym and because they were talking about it, it made me take a second look at mine and start using it.
Hope everyone is having a good evening. Bopper - thinking about you and sending good thoughts your way.

Oh Bopper I'm sorry to hear of your Dad's medical emergency. Sending positive thoughts. I love your sweet fawn photo.
Welcome Gayle! I am new here too.
I was so sore yesterday from ramping up my activity level and workouts. I could have done more, but didn't want to trigger an RA flare so I just did a lot of stretch breaks at my desk and had a nice Yin yoga practice at home to stretch, and early bed. Ready to rock and roll today!

My rest day today although I'll probably pick up the BG tonight. Actually couldn't have gone to the gym this morning if I wanted to because the garage door broke and my car is trapped. I almost had to walk to work which would have been my exercise for the day but my mother gave me her car instead.
@bopper Still thinking of you![]()
Welcome @Gayle2!
Waving to everyone else. Rock on with your bad exercising selves!

The only exercise I did this morning was a one-armed bicep curl - coffee cup to my mouth! HAHA Could not get out of bed to work out at all. Must be the cool, cloudy, misty weather.
Thinking of you Bopper!
Hope everyone has a good day - whether its a rest day or not! So proud of all of us and how we've all been so consistent and good with our work outs! Yea group!

Gosh, Bopper, no post from you today? I hope your dad is OK. Prayers for you.
Stormy with tornadoes this afternoon. I was doing a Sansone DVD, but I got distracted....one of the exercisers is also on Jillian's Body Revolution, and I couldn't remember her name. I finally found it ... Kamilah AKA Mimi Barrett. She's awesome, lots of enthusiasm. I wonder if she's done other fitness DVDs.

Hi, I missed posting yesterday, its all about my dad right now, no exercise. Thank you all for the prayers and keep them coming. Long story short my dad had what we thought was a slight stroke but after numerous testing it was not a stroke, and they have no answers and he continues to experience symptoms several a day in the hospital and here we sit with no answers and are told he has to be discharged because there isn't anything they can do about it. 70% of the time he is perfect just like our old dad but the 30% he is hallucinating number 1 and number 2 has like a seizure episode. We have spent all our days up there with him, seen him exhibit some horrible things and him saying horrible things to us and yes of course we are questioning early dementia but the dr. isn't sure about that either. He has to be discharged today because for one thing he is hating being there and he is a "flight risk" so that's what they call someone trying to leave, was strapped down like a prisoner and he wants to go home. We were told not without 24 hour care in case he has an episode and they worry he could walk outside into the road ( I highly doubt he would do that) but not ruling out anything . Toured assisted living places yesterday and although they were nice, we thought the actual Room they call their home is small and not real welcoming. The rest of the facilities are beautiful. We are choosing to let our dad go to his own house he has been in for over 50 years and we as a family are taking shifts to care for him. At least giving this a try. We think after he is in his own environment he may get better because being in the hospital is stressing him out and we think contributing to his episodes. Right now it isn't about me and my exericse but about giving my dad the best care he deserves. It won't be easy by any means and I am an over - thinker so have to stop doing that and doing all the "what if's"..
So that is where I am at, I will certainly try to post still every day and at least hope to get a dog walk in, ( another issue I own a dog who has to go outside) dad can't see real well and I worry he'll step on Logan,,,just not comfortable bringing him there and Logan is a hyper breed so that wouldn't help either.
Any I read the posts and welcome the new posters, and it seems everyone is doing well, Continue to Rock On, and it is a family here so its nice to know we can just talk about family and get the support we are looking for.
God Bless everyone, I"ll be here when I can... Love to you all!
The Bop!

@bopper We will all be thinking of you and wishing you well. I am in awe of what you and your family are about to undertake. Please make sure you continue to take care of yourself so you can do for him all he needs done. It's the most important thing you can do for yourself and him. Wish I was close enough to give a real hug.
We're here for you for whatever you need and I truly pray you find some answers soon.
