Re: Welcome to the April Exercise Check In

Squeezing in a reply during a Dancing with the Stars commercial break!

Yes, Nomless, I still love the FIRM, but don't do it quite as much now as I did when I was doing it on the Q because I've been going to the gym, too.

Bopper, they do sell Pound workout dvds, but I'm not ready to invest…I like going to the classes right now. Unfortunately, I couldn't go tonight because of family reasons, and I can't go on Wed. morning because I'm going to go a taping of the Rachael Ray show. For those reasons, I will consider maybe buying dvds so that I don't have to go so long without my new obsession!

PMintPatty, what is FF? I totally understand not enjoying Zumba when you can't follow the steps!

Ladies, DWTS is back on, so I'm signing off now! Have a great evening!

Re: Welcome to the April Exercise Check In

Hi guys! DH left early this morning for a quick trip to DC. I'm heading out with Lucy, have to beat the rain.

Oh man, I got so much done yesterday, I wouldn't even know where to start! On top of a long(over 30) and dicey bike ride, quite a few miles on foot(ran with Lucy and walked with a gf in the afternoon), and my first round of flowers planted.

nomless...I just finished getting everything squared away with our CPA too. I hope anyway...lol. I know, I get the same way, afraid I did something wrong even though I don't even do them. Not happy to read your foot is still bothering you!{#emotions_dlg.sad}

tony....no, I don't ever seem to have a day without a bunch of stuff going on. Believe me, I would love to have a month where there isn't a ton of things hanging over my head. We close on the house this Friday so that will be one thing off our plates. You wouldn't believe the ordeal we've had with the new doors...that's been this past week...right after the appliance ordeal. It's never-ending. And dh's deployment is always hanging over my head. My gf's almost cried when they got the picture of my allergic reaction, I thought they'd laugh but they said it was so bad, they felt terrible. I looked like the Elephant Woman.

Okay...sorry to cut it short, but I need to roll. Waving to everyone, I did read all the posts, maybe I'll write more later! Have a great day!

Re: Welcome to the April Exercise Check In

Notan...FF is Fairfax...sorry. I should say DC but we didn't actually live in DC, close enough I guess.

Lucy and I saw a lot of wildlife this morning, guess they're out because of the rain coming. I'm going to head out on my bike now since it's holding off, had a few sprinkles on our last mile but nothing bad.

Going back to the nursery for that Mandevilla plant I can't stop thinking about...even though I'll probably have to give it away when we move.

I also have to run down to the house today and check on the doors at some point...and make sure the place isn't filthy again. Will do a few other errands while I'm out.

Okay...and I'm off...yet again! {#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

Re: Welcome to the April Exercise Check In

Hey all, The day is turning out quite stellar I must say! Went outside to walk about 4.5 miles. May take Logan out for another walk later.

NoTan I didn't know they had dvd's. It just looks fun. I recorded DWTS's, still have to finish watching it.

Nomless good job on the bike. It isn't always fun is it? I hear ya! {#emotions_dlg.laugh}

Tony we did get a storm but the snow from that storm is gone, we still have snow in the back and some in the front yards and banks but they are going down fast. I now have some bare grass too. Hooray! Do you think we're done now!

Canine are you doing a dog walk and some Pilates?

Pppmint how is today going? I sure hope your ear is getting better and you are healing up and hoping and praying DS is doing well with his procedure too.

Well time for some lunch!

Have a great day!

Re: Welcome to the April Exercise Check In

Hi, NY Woman. Welcome. Pilates and Body Blade is great. How awesome that you found things you like to do.

NoTan, is Pound the program that uses the sticks? I think I saw an informercial about it long ago. Glad you're enjoying it. It sounds like it's a better fit for you than Zumba.

Patty, yea that you close on the house on Friday. That will be a big thing off your plate. I hope your ear is better today.

Hi, Bopper, you're having several stellar days in a row! I'm so glad you're finally getting a taste of spring and had a good long walk outside. I get that felt good.

This morning, when I got to the office, there was a mallard duck on the lawn in front standing there and quacking. There wasn't a female nearby that I could see. He was so pretty. I stood quietly and talked to him a few moments. It was a nice start to my day.

I have some food I need to cook soon. I might do it tonight, which means today will become a rest day. Or, I might workout today and cook tomorrow. I guess I'll see when I get home.

Happy Tuesday to all!

Re: Welcome to the April Exercise Check In

I cooked, didn't exercise. I had chicken and cauliflower that both needed to be cooked or would soon be bad. Now I have chicken for lunches and veg for snacking. Also cooked dinner. Nice time. Tomorrow I'll be back on the bike, promise.

Re: Welcome to the April Exercise Check In

Yes, nomless, Pound uses sticks. Plans got canceled tomorrow, so I will be going to class, and dragging along a friend who isn't sure it'll be her thing. Sorry to say, she's probably right, but I advocate for fitness, and you never know until you try. I got her hooked on Jillian and 30-Day Shred years ago, so we'll see!

I did a classic old FIRM today, Cardio Sculpt. So old that I just replaced my VHS tapes of that series with actual DVDs! Welcome to the 21st century, huh?!?!?

Watching my Mets tonight… baseball = spring! Can't wait to actually get out to the ballpark!

Have a lovely evening all!

Re: Welcome to the April Exercise Check In

Hi all, another sunny day here and I have been out in it. Grocery shopped this morning and went to see my dad, although I saw him in the grocery store too. Then came home and took Logan for a walk. My trail is way under water though. Couldn't go all the way but I was wearing my sloggers so my feet were dry. Then rode my bike through the neighborhood and vacuumed out the Explorer and swept sand out of the garage.

Grilling tonight and I made homemade applesauce.

NY lady do you get a decent workout with the Body blade. I have looked at that a few times.

Nomless your all set for lunches now cooking ahead. That's a good way to plan for the week. I haven't ever see the pound informercial.

NoTan I'm with ya on baseball, but watching from my living room. I saw Zumba on HSN last night!

Pppmint how are you doing with that ear. I hope your workout today didn't bother it and soon it will be healed and all this will be behind you.

My Cardinal was in the tree in my front yard. I have been trying for years to attract them but they never come here. I have everything else but not those. But maybe this is the year!

Have a great day!

Re: Welcome to the April Exercise Check In

Did your friend have fun in Pound Class, NoTan? I think I'd be a klutz at it, LOL.

Bopper, you have your car back. Yea! I hope your cardinal sticks around. Does he have a lady friend? The females aren't red, they're closer to a brown color.

It's cool today, a bit drizzly, but and OK day. I'm planning on doing the bike for a while tonight. I switched to a different set of shoe inserts and my foot started to hurt. So I switched back to the other ones. I thought the new ones had better support, but I guess they don't.

Gosh, I don't have any news. Same old, same old here.

Happy Wednesday!
