Re: Welcome to The October Exercise Thread

Did 20 ish or so minutes on the trail....very hot. I was talking to my sis during my run (she lives in Alexandria, VA) she had the heater on in her car.....I was like ..come on! It's an oven here...that comment almost killed me. Have a great weekend all!

Re: Welcome to The October Exercise Thread

Morning, very chilly here and wet..about 44 degrees...could have snow tonight mixed with rain...

MickD sorry you are so hot....glad you are enjoying your trail runs..I love trails too.

My friend yesterday was walking a 2 rut road bird hunting and 2 wolves were following him. One on each side of the road...he was very afraid but he kept walking until he reached his truck...then fired into the air with his rifle and they ran off. It is illegal here to shoot wolves unless they are attacking your dog your children or family members or farm animals...but how frightening...they are starting to get very close to neighborhoods now too..it is really a problem.

nomless are you enjoying your vacation...I know you are....just chill out and read a book, snuggle up on the sofa with a soft fluffy through and your kitty..

Thinking of everyone wherever you are!

Re: Welcome to The October Exercise Thread

I was busy yesterday and didn't get a workout in. Oh, well. I'll try to do better today.

Mick, I was wondering if your weather was still hot. Here, it's cool, but not as cold as what Bopper is getting. I have a feeling we're not going to see much autumn here. The trees haven't started changing color yet, but they're losing their leaves. Strange.

Bopper, that's scary about the wolves. And bears. And who knows what other creatures you have there. Maybe for the time being you need to be cautious about walking the trail. Not sure I'd have courage to do it. Please be careful when you're out and about.

Hi to Patty. Hope you and DH and Lucy are having some fun and that DS is doing OK.

Hi to Future. Have a good weekend.

Tony, hope you're doing good, too.

Cater, hi! A big wave to you, too.

And Judy...check in and let us know how you're doing.

SFGirl, how are you doing with your races. Hope you're having fun.

Oh, dear, I'm sure I'm forgetting some....sorry....lots of good wishes to all.

Re: Welcome to The October Exercise Thread

Hi, all! It was a busy week. Went to the gym this am. Lifted really quick then spin. Ran to the grocery store afterwards, and I'm going to just chill the rest of the day. Hubby is watching football, of course. Smiley Happy It's finally a little chilly here, so that's nice. But it's supposed to be back up to 90* in a few days. Booooooooo. Ok, I'm going to do a little laundry, and then back to leading and catching up on some TV!

50 min cardio done. I worked hard and it felt pretty easy. Being more rested sure makes a difference. When I'm tired, I feel like I'm slogging through mud even when I'm going slow.

Re: Welcome to The October Exercise Thread

Hi, Bopper. Go Tigers! I've had a lazy day, too. I didn't do a workout. I did some cooking... turkey enchiladas. Flavor is ok, but the filling is too dry. Next time, I'll add some of the sauce that goes on top to the filling to make it more moist.

They trimmed a tree outside my window, and I wish they hadn't. It was so thick before, I couldn't see the street. It felt like I was in a forest, and I liked that. They trimmed it high, so now I can hardly see the tree, only the trunk. There's also a gorgeous fir tree outside another window, and it seems to have dead branches, so it might need to be trimmed next spring. I'm sad....I hope they won't have to take out the whole tree. One of the things I like best about my apt. is all the trees. I'd be sad to lose them.

Oh, when I was cooking, I put my thumb on the burner and burned it. Ouch. I was wiping a spill while the burner was on. Duh. How stupid is that? LOL

Patty, I hope you're enjoying your break, but I miss you. Come back soon. Good wishes to ds. I hope work is going ok for dh. I hope he's not affected by all that's going on.

Future, Tony, etc., I hope you're having a good Sunday.

Re: Welcome to The October Exercise Thread

Hey all, the sun has finally shown up here..It was 33 here when I got up but I love seeing the sun. I walked 4 miles outside just to get the fresh air and clear my head....heard roosters and a donkey! It was nice..

Making more applesauce this afternoon to freeze....everyone loves it so I don't mind making it. Will take Logan out on the trail after too.

Nomless sorry they trimmed so much of that tree....I love the trees and when they are outside your window you can imagine you are in the woods..I hope they don't trim the other one way back...sorry about your thumb ouch....I"ve done that before too!

Cater are you still with us...come visit

FUTURE hope your weekend was a good one and you got in some naps and walks with the pups.

Tony where have you been?

Judy are you here with us?

MickD hoping you can hit the trail today..and it isn't too hot for you.

Ppmint miss you and Lucy. Hoping DS is doing Okay and DH's job is going well for him. How is your foot doing?

Waving to all our friends here and far!

Re: Welcome to The October Exercise Thread

I was 20 min into my cardio workout when the weird guy came I . He sometimes comes in and just watches everyone. Creepy. So I felt. He often is there when I workout after work, so I was surprised to see him there during the day. Does he watch for my car?? I don't know, but I don't want to be anywhere near him. Maybe later I'll go back and do more.

Re: Welcome to The October Exercise Thread

Patty, it's 6:11 AM, and I'm missing reading a Lucy story with my morning coffee. {#emotions_dlg.sad}

I hope all is well and that life calms down so you can come back soon. Miss you.
