Ro dot co claims you can get weightloss injectables $50 with self pay. They are a pretty big company. Hers dot com carries it too but I'm not sure of their pricing strucure. Hers has been around a long time.

I am not sure if I am understanding this correctly, @goldensrbest, but if the doctor is concerned about your blood sugar not being controlled well, I think you'd receive the RX at a reduced cost.

A injectable like Mounjaro is what I am referring to.

Most prescription assistance programs will not work with Medicare.  My Gyn wanted to put me on Veozah (not a weight loss drug; it's for night sweats).  Being that it was a new drug, it was uber expensive.  She sent me a link for their assistance program and as soon as I checked the box for having any government assistance, which Medicare is, it booted me out of the process.

Under the new rules getting rid of the donut hole, it might've been worth it to me because I think it would also help with my cold intolerance, but at least for the night sweats a small dose of gabapentin works fine.

@Icegoddess Medicare is not government assistance. It's a federal health insurance program.

@Moonlady Assistance might be the wrong term, but the term used would've included Medicare.

sounds too good to be true. So I looked into it. First of all the $50 is a promo price- one month reduced pricing for their membership which is $145/mo. And is required. Then after youre set up with that, the actual cost of monthly injectable med (I looked at Tirzepatide) starts at $395.

Im paying $320 for a two month supply at a local pharmacy. I haven't seen it less expensive anywhere else

OP Try losing the weight by yourself. You don't need drugs! I lost 70 lbs simply by diet and exercise and have kept it off for 5 years now. I'm 71.

I have been on semaglutide for a while. My monthly cost is $167 a month. No insurance used. Mine is not the prefilled injections, they provide the needles and I draw my own. The prefilled are the $$$ ones. I go through We Care Pharmacy. I have had zero side effects . I’ve lost over 60lbs and I want to lose 20 more. I do not plan on being on it forever. I no longer eat the same, I exercise regularly and do not buy the junk I used to. I am 65.
