Or for only 60 calories...worse case, don’t eat.

Consuming this highly processed food is not good. Ever.

And if a diet is ‘healthy’, there’s no need for

copious amount of supplements.

Apples are mainly just sugar. They provide no protein.  Personally, I need a good amount of protein to feel satisfied for a substatntial amount of time. And I try to avoid all sugar with the exception of berries, which are pretty low. I also don't like to skip a meal so not eating is a poor option for me.  As for your idea of a "healthy" diet, I guess you must eat perfectly and have perfect nutrition, thereby needing no supplementation.  Good for you.  I try my best, but I know some things are missing so I take advantage of qualtiy supplements to get me where I need to be.  And I also like taking supplements that will enhance my appearance.

Just eat a cup of peas....or a cup of beans...or a cup of lentils.

Cook up a batch on Sunday, portion it out, freeze & every morning

take out to thaw & eat later.  Cheap, healthy, convenient...and

enough fiber to create healthy gut bacteria to keep you full for hours.

There’s no way a powder, liquid or pill will ever replace

whole food. It’s sad many don’t see that...and remain unhealthy

when they really, really want to make a difference.

@sidsmom  and therein lies the problem for some, like me.  I detest peas, beans and lentils.  Will not eat them.  Any of them.

That said, I think that ALL diets work if a person FOLLOWS

Well stated, you crazy, sensible person! I cannot deal with some of the elaborate comments here. All I wanted to know was is the shake filling. I can follow my own diet thanks, I just want a shortcut here and there.

@Grouchomarx, no one can answer that question but you.   For some people they are probably very filling and for other people, they don't do a thing.  Just like other shakes, powders, etc.

Re: Weight Loss - Andrew Lessman's Plan

@sidsmom...Would you be willing to post a days worth of meals that eat on a daily basis? I would be super interested in getting an idea. I've often read your posts and wondered more of what you eat. Thanks!

@daisyk

More than happy!

I plugged everything into Cronometer what today looks like and

is very representative of a normal day.

I base everything around a starch.

Add a fruit/veg (I have a huge container of frozen veg/fruit

in my freezer...just grab a couple handfuls to thaw out)

Add some beans, add a leafy lettuce, a little bit of sauce or fat.

If snacky, I’ll have an apple before bedtime.

Boom. Done.

And all this can be made in advance on a weekend

if time’s an issue. Just pull out of the frig, heat & go.

Tons of fiber, minimal fat..lots of carbs to keep me satisfied.💛🌼

@Grouchomarx

Ha ha, thanks for the compliment. Smiley Happy

I did the Mayo shake diet some years ago. The shakes were VERY filling. While not these exact shakes in terms of ingredients, the volume would be similar. I was never, ever hungry. I was always told if I felt the need for snacks or something not low calorie, to have another shake.

If you add a lot of ice the shake can almost fill a blender to the top. I always struggled to get the whole thing down!

Good luck!

@AussieLuvr I find that to be true with the Lessman Secure product too. I like to add ice in the summer and make a big blender full to sip throughout the day. Something about adding the ice and a few other ingredients that make it very filling, even though it just added water. ha!

@daisyk

There’s a long-standing thread call Plant Based News

which has a ton of ideas, if interested.
