Re: Week Two of the NFL Regular Season!!!

Hello All---

I missed posting my pick on the Thursday Night game....guess I better get back to my NFL routine...{#emotions_dlg.laugh}

CONGRATS Sunshine & Seehorse on RAVENS victory......looks like Steve Smith was a good addition.....

Here are my picks---

DOLPHINS/BILLS- The Dolphins did an excellent job against the Pats....the Bills won too and are at home. I have to go with my grandmother's favorite team--DOLPHINS

JAGS/REDSKINS-I liked Gruden's game plan and hope we stop the turnovers....no JJ Watt across the line....I'll be a homer and go with my REDSKINS!

COWBOYS/TITANS-The Cowboys D did well, BUT their offense did not...is Romo's back bothering him.....Titans had a solid win...going with TITANS! And what about the Jerry Jones "controversey".....

CARDS/GIANTS--The Giants new offense is like putting a square peg in a round hole, the players just don't fit this new system, and their defense did not look so hot either...going with CARDS!

PATS/VIKINGS-with AD's personal problems will he even play, the Dolphins exploited Pat's weaknesses.....I think Tom Brady and Belichick were embarrassed, I'm going with the PATS can't see them losing 2 in a row...

SAINTS/BROWNS-I was impressed that the Browns did not give up and made it a game in the second half ..... but the Saints have Drew Brees....although their D was a disappointment last week I'm going SAINTS

FALCONS/BENGALS-2 good teams should be a great game. Falcons are loaded with weapons on offense, and Bengals are solid on offense and defense too....I'll go with my cat Figgy and pick BENGALS

LIONS/PANTHERS-Cam Newton should not have called Suh some lame name....going with the LIONS

RAMS/BUCS-Lack of real QB really hurting rams, Bucs were disappointing too, but going with the BUCS who have more talent

SEAHAWKS/CHARGERS--This should be a good game....but Seahawks look like they are going to repeat and go back to the Bowl--going with SEAHAWKS!

TEXANS/RAIDERS--Carr meet JJ Watt---again, again, again-TEXANS!

JETS/PACKERS-I don't think Aaron Rodgers will lose 2 in a row-PACKERS!

CHIEFS/BRONCOS-Chiefs had some injuries to key players, going with Peyton Manning and loaded Broncos team....BRONCOS

BEARS/49ers---Bears were a big disappointment, I just don't like Jay Cutler....we will see how 49ers play without Tony Romo's help...still going with the 49ers...

EAGLES/COLTS-In my heart I know Chip Kelly will be too much for Colts without Mathis--but I will go with the upset and pick COLTS and Andrew Luck
(and hope he brings a ton of luck) {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

Why sunshine the Steelers of course {#emotions_dlg.biggrin} pssssst secretly I thought the Ravens would win, I was just not sold on Pittsburgh, some analyst even picked them over the Bengals to win the division but I just didn't see it! They have been in a bit of a decline lately....and y'all have Kubiak and I thought your offensive would be a bit more dynamic this year....but don't worry I won't jinx your team and will pick your opponents....Wink

Re: Week Two of the NFL Regular Season!!!

We don't get any great matchups today locally with the Giants/Cards (should be an easy win for the Cards) and the Redskins/Jags (should be an easy win for the Redskins) as the early games. The Jets/Packers is our later game which should be an easy win for the Packers. The Bears/Niners could be the best game of the day, but only if the Bears play better than they did last week. It's probably just as good none of the games look overly appealing as the electric pole across the street got hit overnight and is hanging in mid-air while I type. Later today they'll be through to replace that and we'll likely be powerless for a few hours while they do. I'd hate to lose the power in the middle of an exciting game I'd been looking forward to.

You think you have it bad GARDENMAN, we have the inept Cowboys versus the Titans and if the Cowboys offense resembles last week's it should be a blowout for the Titans....

And then Texans/Raiders---well watching JJ Watt is always fun....

In this early season, I think Falcons/Bengals should've been the game of the week!

Well thank the Good Lord for RED ZONE! {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

Re: Week Two of the NFL Regular Season!!!

Our local stations have NE-Minnesota and Detroit-Carolina. I'll be watching Detroit. That could be an interesting game. The Lions have all kinds of weapons. Cam Newton needs to play well.

I chose San Diego in my football picks. Almost everyone is favoring Seattle, but I'm thinking this could be an upset. I've seen the Chargers play flawless football (often against the Colts), and when they're focusing on all cylinders, they can be tough. It's just an instinct that I have about this game. Not to take anything away from Seattle, but the Chargers could sneak in a win if Seattle isn't careful.

Re: Week Two of the NFL Regular Season!!!

Some big wins in the NFL so far. RG111 was hurt again, and Cousins led the team to a victory. I also saw that Desean Jackson was hurt; how bad is his injury? There were quite a few players out today.

Buffalo played well. The fans must have been going crazy watching their team. There is no longer any questions about what is happening to the Bills; they're staying where they belong.

What is happening in Cleveland? That was a shocker. I never expected the Browns to pull off a win like they did. Sean Payton and Rob Ryan were having some heated words. Not a good sign.

Re: Week Two of the NFL Regular Season!!!

i was watching both the browns game AND the redskins game......both great to watch, but i swear that team seemed to come alive when cousins was in the game......and all of those sacks against the jags didnt hurt either! it is hard to know if the redskins looked good (which they did) or the jags looked so BAD (which they did)! LOL

i was hoping for a browns loss of course, but that was a nice last minute field goal by billy cundiff!
