(rolling eyes again)
BTW gardenman, thanks for getting our weekly threads started up again.
Hi yellowrose.....I have not been happy with RGIII's performance, but then I saw Weedon's an Eli's and felt a whole lot better.....it was strange seeing Demarcus Ware in orange!!!
I have been keeping my eye on the Texans (my Redskins play them our first game) and we are going to get killed, the Texans D is fearsome with Watt, Cushing, Clowney.....YIKES!!!!
BTW I highly recommend the movie WHEN THE GAME STANDS TALL---good story about football and life!

I'm not sure who made the roster, so will have to check that out.
Hi Tegan.....your right, the preseason doesn't mean anything....teams that have been 0-4 in preseason have been top contenders in the regular season, while those that were 4-0 were at the bottom in the regular season.
Good Luck to your Colts!

Will look up that movie spurt. Thanks. That Weeden can throw some good passes, but he looked terrible on Thurs. I'm looking forward to seeing the Texans defense also. I don't know if the game will be televised in my area

That Texans defense could be special. The bad news is they may need to be special unless their offense surprises a lot of people. You get the feeling they'll be in a lot of those 17-14 games this year.
Every team is now at the 53 man roster limit. Expect rosters to shuffle a bit more as teams sort through the discarded players, then on Sunday they'll start assembling the practice squads and start practicing for the real games. It starts getting real now.

The Redskins released Phillip Thomas...he showed promise but just could not stay healthy--he was out last year and started to look good and yet another injury this preaseason....Seastrunk was released but the Baylor RB could make it to the practice squad....undrafted free agent Silas Redd from USC grabbed the last RB spot.....

The Redskins re-signed some folks to the practice squad--
he NFL increased the size of practice squads from eight to 10 this season. Sunday, it served as a second chance for eight players who had been culled from the Redskins’ roster the previous day:
? Running back Chris Thompson, who intrigued coaches with his speed and elusiveness but raised alarm, at the same time, because of his vulnerability to injury.
? Second-year cornerback Chase Minnifield.
? Third-year CB Richard Crawford.
? Tevita Stevens, a first-year offensive lineman who works primarily at center.
? Second-year pro Nick Williams, a wide receiver who caught two touchdown passes during the preseason.
? Tight end Ted Bolser, a seventh-round pick who had been fourth on the depth chart at his position.
? Second-year safety Phillip Thomas.
? Rookie nose tackle Robert Thomas.
