The Rams are a scary team to play right now. They're a team we should beat, but they've got two good defensive coaches who will likely try to find a way to exploit the weaknesses of the offensive line. In a perfect world it'll be an easy win on a nice relaxing Sunday. Unfortunately we don't play those kind of games anymore and this is likely to be a nail-biter.
gardenman, when did we ever!? Oh yeah, one time with Detroit!
Nice to know some of our Offensive starters are back.
Now if only McCoy can have a good run or two or three. And if the team doesn't bog down at the goal line and the play calling doesn't stink....the Eagles might be able to take this one. Who's after this? Giants?

Halftime score: Indy 6-Baltimore 3. It's been a defensive battle, so far. There have been two turnovers by Baltimore and one by Indy. The Colts have led in ball possession 20 minutes to The Ravens' 10, but Baltimore's defense has proven tough. The Colts did score a touchdown, but it was erased because of offensive pass interference by Reggie Wayne. Unless one team breaks open in the second half, this game will go down to the final minutes. I expected a close game; have to see how the second half plays out.

The Colts pulled out a win: 20-13, but it wasn't easy. They had 4 turnovers, Baltimore 3. It wasn't a well played game, (except for the defense on either side.) The Ravens were driving the ball near the end, and only a huge defensive play by Toler stopped Baltimore from scoring a tying touchdown. There were lost opportunities on both teams. This was too close for comfort. Gone was the high-scoring Colts offense. I had a feeling that this game would go down the final minutes.
There are some good games today. It's getting more difficult to determine the winners each week. The NFL is getting crazy.

Hi Tegan....
I left you a note over on the other topic....
CONGRATS on your Colts win.....that game appeared to be quite a battle.....
Well the Cowboys/Texans was a close battle, the Texans tied it up in the closing minutes and Cowboys missed a FG it went into OT....Texans got the ball first but couldn't score.....and Cowboys ended up winning....CONGRATS to Cowboy fans....
What a wild week---the Brownies came back to win as did the Panthers!!!! And so did the Bills! and Giants continue on their winning ways to beat the Falcons (I'll hear all about it from my DS)....and the Saints barely hang on to beat the Bucs...
And CONGRATS to GARDENMAN on the Eagles win.....and SHELTIEMOM and all the other winners too.....

My other upset (over the computer model) is Washington socking it to Seattle.
And God only know about the Eagles! If they don't bring it this week, then those first 3 games were only luck and a fluke!
The Bills won! The Bills won!
It was Mary Wilson's last game as owner of the Bills - and it was in the city where she & Ralph lived. Ralph used to be a co-owner of the Lions before he bought the Bills & moved over to the AFC.
What a tremendous win for Mary and the family!
BTW - The Wilson's announced this week that most of the 1.4 billion dollars they will be receiving on Wednesday will go into a Wilson Foundation trust. Ralph instructed that the money help people in Detroit (his home town & headquarters of most of his businesses and Buffalo). What a tribute!

The Eagles won, but I have a feeling the local media won't let us believe it. We almost let a 34-7 lead slip away but hung on to win in the end. Last week there were members of the media wanting the Eagles to replace a wide receiver, tight end, quarterback, and both starting cornerbacks. After almost letting the Rams pull out this game they'll be wanting more changes. It's just a question of time until they decide Chip Kelly can't coach and needs to go. It's hard to believe we're 4-1 if you listen to the local media.
The positives in this game were the special teams blocking yet another punt and scoring yet another touchdown. The defense was getting a lot of pressure early in the game and forced turnovers and held the Rams in check. It was only when the defense got a bit more passive towards the end that the Rams were able to climb back into things. On that last possession they went back to pressure and stopped the Rams. The offense is still working out the kinks with the patched together offensive line, but they played better this week. There wasn't a lot of running room, but there was some. Nick Foles still doesn't look like the Nick Foles we saw the last two years, but he's making big throws when he needs to.
With how the defense and special teams are playing, if the offense ever starts pulling their weight this team could be very, very impressive. For now I'm thrilled we're 4-1 with a Sunday Night game coming up next week against the Giants. A win next week would leave us at 5-1 heading into our bye with games against the Cardinals and Texans after the bye and then the offensive line should be back fully healthy for games against the Panthers, Packers, Titans, Cowboys, Seahawks, Cowboys, Redskins, and Giants.
A potential negative from this game was DeMeco Ryans leaving the game with a groin injury. Those have a bad habit of becoming sports hernias and needing surgery. We're already down three inside linebackers and losing DeMeco would be big. Hopefully it's just a tweak and nothing major.
