I didn't do well on my football picks so far. Denver lost, Washington lost, Cincinnati finally played well. Atlanta is in first place. This is one strange season.

Gardenman, the Packers wearing throwback uniforms is not a good sign for your team. Remember what happened to the Colts when the Steelers wore their throwback uniforms? Just sayin.........there is something about those old uniforms that seem to make a difference.

Hey Tegan....I didn't do well with my picks either...but who could have predicted Rams over Broncos.....

Those throwbacks bring good luck to some teams....but I do like the Packers throw back over the Steelers bumble bee uniforms....{#emotions_dlg.laugh}

Re: Week Eleven of the NFL Regular Season!!!

Indy was outplayed and out coached last night. The Patriots came in with a well executed plan. Got to give credit to the coaching staff. Brady didn't have his best performance, but he had a running game to turn to by the name of Jonas Gray. Where did this guy come from? I read that he spent time in Miami but didn't play, and also was on the Baltimore roster. So, he comes into Indianapolis and rushes for 199 yards in his first game. Welcome to Indianapolis, Jonas. {sigh} Also, they just couldn't get pressure on Brady.

Ahmad Bradshaw injured his left ankle. It might be broken, so now he's out. Dwayne Allen was also injured. I don't think his injury is as bad.

Houston is only a game behind Indy in the AFC South, Cleveland is now in last place in the AFC North; that might change depending on how Pittsburgh does. After this past weekend, nothing would surprise me. The NFC North is a mess. Arizona still rolls on. The rest of this season is going to be one bumpy ride.

Re: Week Eleven of the NFL Regular Season!!!

Things are getting interesting in DC. Jay Gruden used his press conference today to pick apart RGIII's game in great detail pointing out every mistake RGIII made in the game. That's something you don't generally see. Coaches may rip a QB a new one in private, but publicly they'll just talk in generalities about the need to improve. I'm not sure if this is a wake up call to RGIII (who suggested his teammates weren't working hard enough) or just a sign of frustration from Jay Gruden, but he's poisoning RGIII and there's a likelihood (near certainty) that relationship will not last. Given RGIII's track record I'm not sure what kind of value the Redskins can get for him if they try to trade him. Would they just release him? What team is desperate enough to trade for him this off-season knowing how he's performed? That's going to be fun to watch. We'll have to see who the starting QB is this week. If RGIII gets benched again, it's likely permanently in DC. McCoy or Cousins would end up defaulting into the starting role. RGIII has incredible talent and some coach somewhere will take a shot at reforming him, but RGIII will have to want to change and adapt and I'm not sure he wants to. That's going to be a very interesting situation to observe.

Yes, it is like a vintage episode of "General Hospital" here in DC. The whole team could walk out tomorrow, and it wouldn't surprise me.

And I liked Billy. I'm not that hard to please.

Re: Week Eleven of the NFL Regular Season!!!

The Colts signed return specialist Josh Cribbs . I'm wondering if his best years are behind him, but the Colts management thinks that he could still add much to the team. Overall, it might turn out to be a good signing. I'll have to see how he does in the final games of the season.

Ahmad Bradshaw was placed on injured reserve. He was playing well, so it's a big loss. He has been injury prone , though. TE Dwayne Allen's injury is day-to-day, and it's possible that he could play this Sunday.

With Bradshaw out, some Colts fans are speculating about LeGarrette Blount (who was released by the Steelers) being brought in. Nothing official; there are just some who would like the Colts to try to acquire him. I read that he walked off the field because he didn't get any snaps, most of them instead going to LeVeon Bell. That didn't set well with the Steeler organization. Apparently, Blount was being disruptive in the locker room.

An article on NFL.com mentioned that Eagles' player, Graham, complained that Aaron Rodgers was laughing at the Eagles' defensive line. Rodgers seemed to be enjoying himself at the Chicago Bears game. He probably was doing the same last Sunday. maybe not laughing at the other team, just enjoying winning. It's the NFL, players need to be tougher. Things like that happen.

Re: Week Eleven of the NFL Regular Season!!!

The Eagles defensive players (Brandon Graham among them) know they didn't play well on Sunday and they're all now gearing up for a rematch with the Packers come the playoffs. The complaints about Rodgers laughing at them are being used as fuel for the defenders and if they do meet up again (which is still pretty likely) you'll see a much bigger effort from the defense the next time around. Aaron Rodgers is a very good quarterback who was really on his game early in the game on Sunday, but he wasn't as good as the Eagles made him look. The defense was a bit too passive, failing to hit receivers at the line of scrimmage and giving them clean releases, then using more of a mush rush to try and contain Rodgers. The Eagle defenders want another chance at him and chances are they'll get it. I'm pretty sure there won't be a lack of intensity on either side in a rematch.

On a side note, pretty much every Eagle player is disgusted with how they performed in that game. Pretty much across the board every player and coach has accepted responsibility for the loss and vowed to atone for it. You like to see that. There's no finger-pointing or blame shifting, everyone on the team is accepting responsibility. A loss like that can be a good thing for a team. Nothing quite focuses a football team like getting the backsides kicked.
