I started wearing gloves about a year ago, because i hate filling the car up, so i do wear them when i go out shopping,to the post office, and places.

When you lose some one you L~O~V~E, that Memory of them, becomes a TREASURE.

When I'm out among people like in a supermarket I wear a mask no gloves. I have wipes & hand sanitizer with me. I wipe down my cart.I'm very careful not to touch my face. When I return to my car I wipe down the door hand, & steering wheel.I then use the hand sanitizer.

When I get home I unpack my stuff & go over whatever I can with a wipe.I throw out the plastic bags.I wash my hands .

 P.S. I don't use reusable bags,anymore.Back to disposable plastic.I feel it's safer.JMO.

The store I do most of my shopping at, Harris Teeter, has an employee on duty at all times at the entrance wiping all carts. They make sure people only take a cart that has been wiped. May not be cheapest store to shop at, but am appreciating their attention to the sanitation detail. Not sure gloves do very much for reasons some have already stated, but do wear to grocery store because am better able to open the plastic bags in produce department.

I also thoroughly wipe my handbag down, inside and out when I get home. Never see people mentioning their handbags.

This is one of the reasons I no longer carry leather bags.

I started to not take my handbag into any store.  I do want it with me when I go out so I put it in an Aldis bag and cover with a coat in my car. I dont take my phone in with me and leave it in the handbag. I heard all of this on the news several weeks ago.

I put my list and money, credit card or both into a ziploc. I put the list on top so I can see it then put this ziploc on the seat in the cart and read it from there. Then when I get to check out just take out money or credit card!  I put my keys in my pocket.

Not sure what I will do when the weather is too warm for a coat lol.

Great idea you have about leaving your bag in the car and using a ziploc bag for your list & money/cc. I'm going to steal that idea if you don't mind! I carry some wipes in one into the store and use them on the cart and opening the freezer section doors and such but never thought of using one as you do! Mucho Gracias for sharing your very smart move.

I heard a scientist/ specialist in viruses state that by the time this pandemic has slowed down, 75% of the population will have had the virus.  It is almost like no matter what we do other than just stay home and hide, the virus will eventually get you over the next year or more or until they MIGHT GET A VACCINE....MANY scientists say that most likely none will be found.

I guess it really depends on how your body fights it off... do you get better or do you end up on a ventilator and die.

I worry most about the fact that DH and I have No one else... no friends or family that could take over the house.... feed the dog... care for my birds... If we both ended up in hospital and on ventilators... that would be like REALLY A BAD THING.. It is just us.

@FlowerBear  I don't know about gloves helping or not. Now, I'm not sure if wearing masks help - my husband keeps telling me that wearing masks doesn't help. ??  He went to Costco the other day and he had a mask with him as I *think* Costco will not let you in the store if you weren't wearing one. My husband is one who doesn't worry about things though (he's fairly calm), so I'm just not sure. 😐

@Mimi 1883  and @FlowerBear ... the CDC says that wearing masks does not protect people from getting sick.  They only help a person who is ill from infecting others.  However, in NJ our governor has made it mandatory to wear masks when going to a store.  I don't know about gloves.... but I do wear them.  As soon as I am finished with my shopping I throw them out and wash my hands thoroughly.  I make sure not to touch my face ... until I have washed my hands.
