Watching the marathon of My Six Hundred Pound Life, some are so inspirational.

I cannot imagine their struggle.

I feel for their loved ones, especially their children. I do feel that many are surrounded by enablers which makes me angry.

That said, I have never had to deal with more than the extra five pounds to lose after a holiday type of thing - which I have always been able to do.

I wish them all well.

I have watched a few episodes as well. I am always amazed at the number of lymphedemas that are removed (40-50 lbs.) after the surgery. {#emotions_dlg.ohmy} The one lady had it hanging over her knee and couldn't even see her kneecap.

I just asked BF, at what point would you weigh yourself and say "I have to do something about this."

DH just came in and asked why on earth I was watching this. I don't have a really good answer, but there are some inspirational moments.

I am fascinated with the doctor and what he can accomplish. Like you, I've never had to deal with a major weight problem, but I do admire what these people are able to do when they set their minds to it.

Yes it IS terribly sad and you have to question the motives of whoever supplies their food.

I also think it's eye opening when they tell the doctor that they don't eat that much. {#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

In every episode, it's clear that fast food, take out, pizzas, and fried foods are staples in their diets, along with huge portions and soda/sugary drinks.

Did you see that guy that lost all that weight, the 650-lb. virgin? I think it was discussed on the board. But he lost it all through diet and exercise, he lost over 400 lbs.! Then when it was all over, he had to have all the skin removed, but he was handsome.

Okay the woman on now has a small son.

She is onery and needs to get up. I don't understand how you could do this to your child.

This woman's husband is a saint........

My DH as well....hard to explain to him. Does anyone know if there will be new episodes airing?

It is inspirational. We all have struggles...food can be a vicious struggle, and society is so negative about being overweight.

We watch this bc we are voyeurs. I don't understand who buys food for these people, I did notice that the parents of the people who are so heavy are very heavy too.

I can't even imagine how much food you would have to eat to become that big.
