I haven't seen Oprah in a very long time.  So is she slim now?  Cooks, no limits on grocery expenses and someone to bring it to you.  .  .  If she isn't svelt I would say WW does not work for everyone, at least.

I think she is thinner than she has been in the past, but I would not call her "thin."  It is really hard to tell what someone looks like when you only see them on TV.

Guess that ' eat healthy' campaign didn't work  so well for them.

And of course OW pitching as usual which I'll never understand as she doesn't represent health or healthy eating to me.

It's back as a weight loss program? What was it before?

They branded it as 'healthy eating and lifestyle' for the last 2  years. No mention of diet. Now the ads are showing women talking about how many pounds they have lost.

OW is not an inspiration for weight loss....yes, she struggles with weight loss and many can relate to this reality.  However, if a person has all the resources available (coaches, cooks, massage, etc. with unlimited funds), and still can't succeed....it is hardly an inspiration.  Weight loss is a mindset and a lifestyle...it is a personal journey that requires dedication and consistent effort.

The weight loss industry raked in 71 billion dollars in 2019.

Re: WW is back as a weight loss program in new ads

People get so grumpy about WW.

It's the only thing that works for me no matter what diet I've tried.  Some WW programs I've liked more than others.  I'm getting used to Personal Points, it was a big adjustment but I'm settling in now.  It started in November and I've lost eight pounds on it.

I joined in 1999, got to lifetime in 2000 and still attend meetings most weeks. 22 years I've kept the weight off and now that I'm officially a senior, my doctors are happy with all my biometric numbers.

Re: WW is back as a weight loss program in new ads

I have a friend that did the point program and she did well.  She lost over 100 lbs.  Covid happened, meetings were cancelled and there was no accountability.

Pretty sure she gained it all back plus because she likes to share every meal she makes on Facebook and they are all nothing but carbs on carbs on carbs.  A lot of processed foods, breads, rice, pasta and potatoes and rarely a vegetable.

Maybe I'm more aware of it because my husband was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes in July and we really watch his carb intake.  I look at her dinner menu and shake my head and roll my eyes.

I'm not surprised it didn't work. I know it didn't for me. I'm sorry, a person cannot eat all the fruits and veggies they want and still lose weight. The eat healthy plan punished you for eating a cookie buy using up almost all your points. And when you only have 19 a day that isn't much.
